Steel Men Are Coming
Business is ****ing booming, Steelers up 20-3 only 17 minutes into the game.
Ya'll wanted Pittsburgh. 219 yards of offense in the 1st quarter. We'll be fine? We'll find out next Sunday. |
LMAO
|
For the record, it was the Chiefs players that wanted Pittsburgh.
|
I'm re-thinking going to the game, but it sure would be great if KC beats Pittsburgh.
We're gonna have to play the game of the year to win. |
Yeah. Steelers are a bad matchup for us.
|
Smith will throw for 300 3tds and Houston will get 5sacks

Steelers are playing against a very, very mediocre defense right now.

Also 142 decibels bitch

I asked mods to merge with the hall of fame thread. The Chiefs and especially Andy Reid is going to get but tucked Ned Betty style

I was hoping to play the Browns.

Our last hope is a Suh hit to Roethlisbergers knee
|
We'll be fine?

Why is Vance Joseph a head coaching candidate?

Thanks for the reminder that this board is still utter shit.
|
How many points we put up in the last few games?
We can hang with this team. |

Classic case of warm weather team not being able to play in the cold.
|
Yeah, this game is going to depend on the right arm of Alexander Douglas Smith.
I don't see us running the ball on Pittsburgh. |
It was a fools hope.
|
Alex Smith is going to get murdered.

7th in points allowed with 19.4 pts/game allowed. STFU |
Pittsburgh's defense may be short Bud Dupree next week, as he may end up in jail on criminal charges after the hit he just put on Matt Moore.

So yeah. Good luck with that. If the Chiefs hold the Steelers to around 24 or under, that's a heck of a job. If Alex Smith can't score that many points at home, we don't deserve a sniff of the AFCCG. |

As I predicted at the start of the season, the Chiefs skip the wild card and are thrown to the curb by Pittsburgh.
Big Rape is going back to the Bowl this year. |

To be the best, you have to beat the best. Bring them on. |
It's pretty hard to imagine a reality in which an Alex Smith-led Chiefs team beats the Steelers.

In the playoffs, usually, if your team gets to within 2 games of a Super Bowl, your going to be playing a good team. That's kind of a given. Bring on the 3 B's!:harumph: |
You wanna win? Beat the best.
I want to see what we're made of |
I was just texting back and forth with TinyEvel and told him that the only thing that really concerns me about the Steelers is that they are a fast, physical team and that we're a fast, finesse team. We tend to struggle with physical.
That, and we gotta hope Andy doesn't Andy. If he doesn't stay aggressive 100% of the time, we'll be down 3 scores in the blink of an eye. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, OTW, but the Steelers have been crunching people all year at home.

Either way, those guys are about to get their wish, assuming Pittsburgh holds on to win. They better back it up, for sure. |

I think the Steelers present the biggest fight we're going to have. Outlast them, and I can see is taking it to the Pats. |

Talk of some sort of Houston/Oakland,Miami path was chicken shit and not even realistic. Bring on the Steelers. |
The #1 thing that worries me about Pitt is Bell. Our run defense has been gashed and you're talking about going up against the best all around RB in the NFL.
|
The biggest problem I see for the Chiefs is that Pitt's defense is a lot better than it was when we played them earlier in the year. They didn't have Shazier in that game, they've replaced about four other starters, too, they've obviously fixed their run defense.
The Chiefs will need Colts game Alex Smith to win this, and their normal, Philip Gaines-free defensive performance. If they beat Pitt they can certainly beat the Pats. I honestly think Pitt might be the best team in the AFC. They've won eight in a row if they hold on today. |
Quote:
You want to be the best, you got beat the best. This is the best overall team we have had in years. If somehow, someway beat Pitt and then NE in NE, we are going to win the Super Bowl this year. |
Quote:
Also, I think early in the divisional game last year against the Pats when they intentionally mashed our returner on a punt was evidence of opposing teams thinking this. |

Good thing Pitt fans didn't fold like a cheap suit - from their earlier ass-whoopin' Miami put on them.

Pittsburgh looks like they're going to win 8 in a row. Fact is, Chiefs are potentially facing a hot team right now in the playoffs. That's reality. That's scary and true. I don't like the Chiefs run defense. I'm worried that Pittsburgh will pound them with the running game. Leveon Bell is the type of back that could take over a game. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets 200 yards against the Chiefs. I don't think the Chiefs have anybody that could cover Antonio Brown. I fear his speed and his ability to catch the ball deep into the opponents territory. I could see big plays happening. Roethlisberger is 5-1 against the Chiefs and so he has their number. I fear he will have a lot of time to throw because of the Chiefs lack of pass rush. On the other hand, Chiefs are at home and the 12th man will play a factor in Pittsburgh making mistakes. Andy Reid's record is sensational after the bye. So we got that going for us in that he could prepare the team better to put them in a better position to win. Pittsburghs pass defense isnt that good and I think the Chiefs could pass on them. I look for big plays from Kelce and Maclin. Tyreek could take one to the house this game in either returns, passing or running games. Ultimately, I think the difference will be turnovers. Chiefs have that going for them in that the defense could force turnovers and the offense despite its lack of efficiency; could at least protect the ball. If the Chiefs got those two variables in order, I like their chances of winning this game. *They need the timely turnovers. That's what closes games. |

If Chiefs beat both Pittsburgh and Patriots at Foxborough and make it to the Super Bowl it will be similar to 2015 Royals run. Simply an amazing accomplishment. In 2017 Chiefs Fans will have waited 47 years since they were last playing in the SB. Winning it would be awesome for Kansas City especially after Royals triumphant victory in 2015. I'll be 54 years old later this month and I would love a belated birthday gift in February!
Of course if we fall short of this accomplishment then there's always next year.:D |
Is this where we are now? We're just a bunch of pussies?
Bring Pittsburgh on. They said before this game that they've "been wearing this Miami game all season." I guarantee you the Chiefs feel the same way about Pittsburgh. Bring that shit on. |

I think many have forgotten that the Chiefs have limited Hali's snaps to keep him fresh for this next game, and hopefully the next two games. I think we'll see a different defense than what trotted out against PIT previously this season. |

Kelce will be good for two unsportsmanlike penalties after Steelers players get in his head, hitting him too hard or just simply messing with him Kelce will have a bonehead move at an i opportune time.
Steelers are cheap shot artists cut from the same mold as Broncos players. Kc will need to keep their heads in the game and not let it get to them. refs will already be prepared to influence a Steeler win, don't need to give them any additional reasons to throw a flag. |

Some of you are f**king pansies. Pittsburgh's offense is not on Atlanta's level in that dome. Saw how that ended up. Not scared of anyone, especially at home. |
