Parking Tips (needed)

I'm headed out to Arrowhead for the first time this year. I remember reading how bad the parking was, mostly due to poor planning and execution. Has this improved? Any tips for a game this big besides getting there super early? What gate is your favorite?

Thanks, I'll listen off-air.

Take a cab. or Uber. Parking at Arrowhead or one of the hotels near by are a hassle. Tailgating in freezing rain is freezing! TAXI!

Get your parking pass ahead of time by going here:https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/chi...NEWPARKINGPAGE.

Get to the stadium plenty early, like no later than 8am and you shouldn't have any problems.

Taxi not Uber-why?

Even though it's likely to be more expensive with a taxi, the taxi's have special privileges to get in and out bypassing all the parking area, Uber's don't get that special treatment.

I took a taxi in and out three years ago and I was driven up to the stadium right next to the Lamar Hunt statue and after the game it took about 5 minutes at most to exit.

I came in from Hotel Phillips

I think dad said the lot is opening at 6:30 for this game, so, yeah, you shouldn't have any problems getting in by 8:00. :)

Also, the gate depends on where you want to park. We used to like gate 5, but, since they made it one way in all lanes, we go in gate 6 now.

Spoken like someone who has never tailgated at Arrowhead before!

Book a room at the Drury on the Blue Ridge cut-off, and leave it in the lot for the game. :D

If you can swing it a helicopter would be the way to go.

This might be a realistic option, especially with the ice coming our way.

You are correct. The TAXI's have that privilege of going right between the two stadiums. The Uber can maybe get you to the gas station across the street or one of the hotels close by. I know that the Adam's Mark has a shuttle to and from the stadium. Not sure of the cost or if you have to be a guest. The Westin and Sheraton at the Crown Center also have a shuttle service that costs $25 round trip if you are a member of their rewards program but I think you have to be a guest. $35 per person if your not a member. Too pricey if you have a group. TAXI is the best option. I would never park at the stadium again. It takes forever to get in and forever to get out and its expensive. There are many TAXI's waiting after the game by the baseball stadium.

Don't go

Chief_For_Life58 01-12-2017 12:22 PM

Yeah first off. Buy a parking pass online before. Someone told me if you buy at the gate its 60 bucks. They want people to buy passes before showing up so it speeds up entry for everyone.

I had season tickets this season and went to all the games. Obviously, get there acouple hours early. Dont show up at 11am. Parking has gotten better over the year. At the beginning of the year it was a joke. Now its alitle better. Ive just come to accept it. When you have 70k people all converging on the same area parking is going to be bad. Just get there at like 9-10am and dont leave when the majority of people leave. Either leave early or leave late. Or leave when everyone else leaves but expect to wait to get out of there. Up to you. Dont let parking discourage you from going.

I believe as of this year only zTrip vehicles can enter the lot without a parking pass. All others must use the transport center

mikeyis4dcats. 01-12-2017 02:45 PM

Where is drop off and pick up point for guests, buses, limos and taxis?

Through a partnership with zTrip, all zTrip passholding vehicles (including a variety of vehicles included but not limited to, taxicabs, black cars and limousines) can drop off and pick up within the Truman Sports Complex grounds. zTrip riders will be dropped off and picked up on the east side of Arrowhead Stadium across from Lot A/B on Red Coat Drive.
Guests and non-zTrip transportation vehicles, including other ride-sharing services, may drop off and pick up at the Missouri Welcome Center located between Gates 1 and 2 on Blue Ridge Cutoff at no charge.
To drop guests off within the complex, a non-refundable fee of the posted parking price will be charged at the tollgate or a parking pass can be purchased in advance at www.chiefs.com/parking. Parking passes purchased in advance of Chiefs games are sold at a discounted price
.
Non-commercial vehicles and non-zTrip commercial transportation are allowed to enter any gate, except Gate 1, and pay the non-refundable fee. Once guests have been dropped off, parking personnel will direct those vehicles out through Gate 7. Please follow the direction of the traffic attendants.
For-hire vehicles displaying the proper licensing may enter Gate 1 after halftime and proceed to Lot J to pick up their passengers. After halftime, no parking fees will be collected for coming onto the property at Gate 1.
To book your zTrip, please visit www.ztripae.com. For more information on the Drop-Off and Pick-Up Policy, please click here.
