I grew up with a nagger for a mom. Of course, she was also an enabler, so, if you could deal with her nagging long enough, she would eventually do herself whatever she was nagging you to do.

Anyway, my boyfriend is a lucky guy in that I generally try not to do it. About the only time I "nag" is when I really need him to remember to do something that I can't do myself...like bring something home from work that he's taken from the house that I need back. If you nag too much, then you're just considered annoying. You have to save it and use it whenever you really need it in order for it to be effective. :)

My ex-wife used to nag like crazy all the time. After we got divorced, my tolerance towards nagging dropped to zero and it's like nails on a chalkboard every time I hear it from anyone.

One of my ex's was a nagger. I finally got fed up with her and said "How'd you like to not see me for a few days?" She said that would be fine with her. Sure enough, a few days later the swelling went down in one of her eyes enough so she could see me again.

'When' is usually the more important element of the nagging situation.

Women who nag are unbearable and should be slapped with a piece of raw meat of their choosing and then proceed to be sat down with a therapist.

A couple types:
The ones who nag because they want you to do something, like a physical task of some sort, often building or fixing or cleaning something.

Another is the one who wants you to somewhere, usually with her to a store or some kind of social engagement. After much nagging, you'll finally give in, but later a note of disgruntlement slips from you, and you hear...if you're just going to be a jerk about it, then I don't want you to go...
You're tempted to say, "OK, I won't go." But that never works. You're still going.
