Fire Alarm Triggered @ Hotel where Steelers are Staying in Boston

BOSTON (KDKA) — The Pittsburgh Steelers may not be facing off against the New England Patriots on a full night of sleep.

KDKA’s Rich Walsh reports that fire alarms started going off around 3 a.m. Sunday at the Boston hotel where the Steelers and many fans are staying.

Was it Belichick or Goodell? No one will ever know.

I doubt that roethlisberger got a full night's sleep anyway. I don't think roofies last that long and then the girl starts asking where she's at.

Chiefs defense was there to escort Le'veon Bell out safely.

Awesome. A fan with balls enough to take one for the team!

GoChargers 01-22-2017 09:32 AM

Same old cheating Patriots. If they're so great, why can't they ever line up and win without the bullshit?

This certainly deflates my opinion of New England.

Why Not? 01-22-2017 10:00 AM

This is why we will never win shit with our fan base. Trade the lot of us for some 49ers fans. Then, find the accomplice of the Pats fan who did this and trade for him as well. Then, as they say,

To the ship!

When the police said the suspects were being held in jail, the entire Steelers offensive line threw their arms up and disavowed any involvement.

Rain Man 01-22-2017 10:19 AM

Local police arrested Eric Fisher despite no evidence that he was even in the city.

Rain Man 01-22-2017 10:20 AM

James Harrison attempted to chase the subjects but fell down. Nonetheless he was credited with making the arrest.

Amnorix 01-22-2017 10:45 AM

Glad they caught him. Hope he serves actual jail time, stupid ****.

You guys really think the Patriots organization arranged for this, and it's not just a dumb**** fan? Yeah, there's no help for stupid.

Massachusetts State Police have apprehended and charged the man who pulled a fire alarm in the Pittsburgh Steelers' hotel early Sunday morning.
The Steelers will play the New England Patriots on Sunday night (6:40 ET) in the AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium.

Dennis Harrison, 25, of East Boston, has been charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and pulling a false fire alarm at the Steelers' airport hotel in Boston, according to a statement from state police.

Police said Harrison pulled an alarm at the hotel and fled the scene, but he was found by the state police walking on hotel property. Police said Harrison was not a guest at the hotel, nor did he have a legitimate reason to be at the hotel.

Harrison was being held, pending bail.

On Sunday morning, fire alarms also went off at Gillette Stadium. The Foxboro fire department arrived, and a short time later people in the stadium, mostly media and stadium workers, were allowed to return.

The hotel was also evacuated while firefighters checked the building. While many members of the Steelers were awakened by the alarm, the team was not evacuated.

NFL security officials were staying at the same hotel and were on the scene during the incident.

MMXcalibur 01-22-2017 11:14 AM

I would rather a real fire break out at Gillette instead of seeing either of these two franchises in the Super Bowl again...

Curious to hear if this is the same dickless moron that did it to the Chiefs last season.

It was probably some Masshole dick from South Boston. Ya' know where Amnorix is probably from.

Tim Green said in his book, The Dark Side of the Game, this is a common prank done to teams in the NFL.

That is really low, especially for you to wish harm to any football player.

BucEyedPea 01-22-2017 06:12 PM

Touchdown Patriots!

Thanks for the karma guys!

BucEyedPea 01-22-2017 06:14 PM

Oops! Wrong thread for that. Got 'em mixed up!

Bugeater 01-22-2017 06:16 PM

I wonder how many times this is going to happen before visiting teams wise up and assign some security to the fire alarm pull stations in the hotels they stay at. Obviously the on site NFL security didn't do anything to prevent it.

TripleThreat 01-22-2017 06:18 PM

Yep, just Pats fans.

Bill Parcells once said, “If you give a team an excuse they will take it every time.”

So it was with that in mind when the Patriots in 2003 boarded a plane for Miami and Belichick told them they were going down there to win and that he “didn’t want to hear about the heat or the plane ride or the f****** orange juice.” The Patriots got the point and extracted a 19-13 overtime win -- the first time they’d won there under Belichick.

The Patriots have had plenty of fire alarms pulled on them over the years -- three times during their week in Indy prior to Super Bowl 46, at least once in Arizona prior to SB49 -- and never did those cause the outcry that this minor disturbance caused.

That has to do with the mythology around the Patriots and Belichick that’s grown and festered for a decade-and-a-half. The rest of the paranoid NFL imagines a KGB-style intelligence agency and wound up more concerned with the Patriots than readying a great team tto unseat them. Which is handy when explaining to your owner why the Patriots routinely win at the rate that they do. They cheat. What better way to cover your ass?

**** the squealers. Tomlin and the players like to swagger around as if they are bullies but are all bark and no bite. That D sucks and as I predicted, got shredded by Brady. We probably would have lost too because this is all about Tom's revenge but we should have been there.

GloryDayz 01-23-2017 05:00 AM

Clearly the dude was "holding" the alarm's handle when he yanked on it and took it to the ground. Popo didn't miss it...

This is nothing. You should see what the Celtics used to do to visiting teams.

(And I don't know where Amnorix is from, but this dickhead is actually from East Boston, where the airport is. That's my home neighborhood.)

Pasta Little Brioni 01-23-2017 10:19 AM

They'd have been better off if it was a real fire.
