Haason Reddick, LB, Temple (dark horse at 27?)

This guy just absolutely lit it up this week at Senior Bowl practices. Daniel Jeremiah said he doesn't even think he lost a rep. He demonstrated the natural ability to cover backs and TE's , great speed/range, and he has added value as a pass rusher. I think this guy would be a great replacement for DJ. He's going to turn some heads again at the combine, so hopefully he doesn't raise his stock too much.

Keep in mind, Fisher and Ford were the stars of their respective senior bowl weeks, so we know Dorsey values the show he has put on.

Working my ****ing ass off unfortunately. Lost a couple employees back in October and it's been hell. Not easy to quickly replace armored truck drivers in a small town. Finally got some help just in time for the draft process though.

It's officially time to start looking for our QBOTF...

Good to see he's playing some coverage at the Senior Bowl. Could be a Jamie Collins like conversion project. I've been contemplating this kid all offseason. I'm leaning towards not round 1 for the very reason he's a small project at this point. He's spent alot of time as an edge rusher for the Owls. I think round 2 is where I'd feel comfortable, but his athleticism is going to be off the charts. So, what do you do? I don't know. I feel if you pass at 27, he's not there at 59. I just haven't decided if I feel good about him at 27 or not. He's an interesting player, without a doubt.

Edit: Wanted to add that the plus side is he did look good in coverage when he did have opportunities at Temple.

You live in Key West. WTF do you need armored trucks for? Transporting Ernest Hemingway items from his house across town?

If we think he's going to get taken in the early 2nd round, we should just take him in the 1st. Don't mess around with that ridiculous trade down stuff we did this past draft.

That lost option year on Chris Jones could be really valuable in a few years, and we won't have it. Don't want to make the same mistake with this guy.

Depends on who is left on the board and how many slots. If Reddick, McMillan, and Davis are all still on the board at 27 and you feel comfortable with all 3, then you might drop down. The only teams that are maybe's on my list at the end of round 1 are Green Bay and New England to pick ILB. After that, maybe Cincinnati with the 9th pick in round 2.

Holy shit. Staylor is back.

I thought someone pissed him off and he left forever, but I always miss the good drama around here so I figured I just missed that one as well.

It's a festivus miracle!

Nobody ever leaves for that reason. They always come back.

Except for FAX, but that's because LAZ is just a monumental douche and can have that effect on people. And probably the Talking Can...but he could definitely be a bitch at times.

And Mr. Blonde....except he died. Or went to prison. Potayto, potahto.

They never seemed to bother me, but I'm inhuman.

Sandy Vagina 01-27-2017 10:57 PM

He's awesome.. yes. Would.

staylor26 03-13-2017 11:39 PM

Eric Galko‏ @OptimumScouting

#Temple LB Hassan Reddick said that no teams said he needed to add weight. Teams like him both at OLB + ILB. Talked about #Chiefs fit a lot.

O.city 03-14-2017 09:36 AM

Playong inside here requires really good instincts it seems, but he's versatile as well. He reminds me of Bruce Irvin

ct 03-14-2017 09:54 AM

Dorsey does seem to latch onto Sr bowl standouts. As much as I am so ready for an early QB pick, i'd be a-ok w/ Reddick in the 1st.

Jakemall 03-14-2017 12:05 PM

It seems like Reddick would be a perfect fit for the chiefs. I know his value has risen, but people on the outside looking in tend to be influenced more by Senior Bowl and Combine than the GMs are.

I believe there's a solid chance he's there at the end of the 1st.

And think of all the possible pitch black references... :hmmm::drool::D

Eric Fisher and Dee Ford were the stars of the SB in their respective years. Dorsey clearly does.

RunKC 03-14-2017 04:25 PM

DE-Howard
NT-Logan
DE-Jones
OLB-Ford
ILB-Reddick
ILB-DJ
OLB-Houston

I've gotta say the thought of this gives me one hell of a raging boner

Chief Roundup 03-14-2017 06:11 PM

This guys will most likely go in the top 15 to 20.

Didn't Davis Webb shine at the Senior Bowl?

Eric Fisher was one of two expected possible #1 draft picks going into the Senior bowl if I recall. Dee Ford was considered the 2nd best DE of his draft by some scouts. Both were expected to go where they went.

Haason Reddick was a 2-3rd rounder until he started shining...now he's a 1st rounder in most scouts eyes.

I am not saying that he WILL be there..but I think there's a solid chance of it.

Yeah, he tore it up in the game.

You're mistaken. Fisher wasn't talked about as a potential top 15 pick, more or less #1 overall, before the Senior Bowl. Ford was a mid 2nd prior to his.

The difference between them and Reddick is that he is making a position change, so his Senior Bowl was even bigger for him.

TambaBerry 03-14-2017 08:51 PM

I would love this guy, if he's there we need to think hard about it

OldSchool 03-14-2017 10:22 PM

Would easily take him over any of the QBs not named Trubisky.

Reddick's value sky rocketed during the college season. I think he would be a perfect fit for the Chiefs.

Dante84 03-15-2017 01:11 PM

He's fast as shit. He's aggressive. He takes good angles.

He also looks like he gets pushed around a lot. I worry that in the NFL it will he even worse.

Agreed. Trubs will be gone, but if not, he gets the nod first, imho.

He doesn't have the anchor of an elite run defending ILB, but it's not bad. The long arms are often well used to keep himself clean and alive.

so did DJ coming out, was a huge flag on him. pushed around and wasnt strong enough to disengage from blockers.

Black Bob 03-15-2017 10:46 PM

I like Reddick. We might take him. I think OLB is our most likely pick in the 1st.

Who is our ROLB? Hali is old and Houston and Ford shit the bed on the right side.

Makes sense. I'm a worrier by nature.

The concern here was that the guys he was playing against aren't anywhere near NFL caliber. Lots of plays where washes out or gets blocked completely out of the play.

He looks great otherwise. Just a big red flag for me.

And why he will go sooner than 27. We will have to trade up to get him and Mahomes for sure I'm afraid.:hmmm:
