KC Planet Comicon 2017 Looks to Be Epic
 

This year is looking to out-do the Comicon from 3 years ago which was the largest attended event in the history of Bartle Hall.

I grabbed alot of art last year. They were def one of my favorite parts of the con...The celebs were cool but def cost alot.

Alot of people but not overwhelming amount and plenty of space to chill in my past experience. Go on a Saturday as everyone will be there, bug Friday I'd think would be less people

I think I'm going to make the trip up just to get a picture with Ric Flair.

Cost a lot? What do you have to pay to meet a celeb? Never been to anything like this....

Usually at least $20...some $40+

It's a ripoff IMO. My cousin got his pic with Stan Lee and Stan's ****ing eyes were closed.

It is expensive and the site usually says prof photo amounts but autographs or cell phone photos are around that amount. Typically cash only. Tickets to enter the con is like $30

Wish the celeb stuff wasn't so expensive

What a bunch of horse shit. Our celebrity worship culture has produced this system. They are just people. I met my idol last year at Guitar Center in Minneapolis and it didn't cost me a dime. Even so, I would not have paid to stand there and get my pic taken with him. I just had to stand in line for over an hour.

Last year Stan Lee was out on the floor letting fans take his picture for free.

I thought it was pretty cool for Stan to pose for free pictures, especially since he had a time scheduled later that day where you had to pay $30 to get your picture taken with him.

My wife took my picture with him and I posted it on Facebook. I said "Here I am hanging out with my buddy Stan Lee". One of my Facebook friends asked me if it was the real Stan Lee, and I said "Of course!".

I thought it was funny that someone would ask me that, and I mentioned it to my wife. She then told me that at one point she heard Stan Lee's wife say to him "Hurry up Bob, it's almost time to go."

She hadn't bothered to mention it before. :cuss::cuss:

got a buddy that got a "free" pic with Stan Lee last year. it was free because they happened to be going to the restroom at the same time. the wife takes the picture as they are chatting about all of stans' experiences.

my buddy gets home and looks up his pic, and of the pics of Stan during his panel. it turns out to be a stan lee impersonator that he got his picture with!!!!

he was crushed!!!!!

friend figured it out when "his" stan was wearing a different set of clothes on saturday, than the "real" stan was during his panel in the same timeframe.

and he also mentioned that the "wife" was tagging around the impersonator.

d'oh.
