Mixon

yeah i want mixon

seems like a popular choice

pugsnotdrugs19 04-27-2017 08:48 PM

Hard to gauge who will be there at 59. LB, CB, or RB

SAUTO 04-27-2017 08:48 PM

A stud RB to go with hill, mahomes, kelce would be awesome going forward

Black Bob 04-27-2017 08:48 PM

If we got Cook or Foster I would go nuts. I hope we can get a guy like that who propels us to the SB. Even if they only play one year and go to prison it would be worth it if they are the difference...

Urc Burry 04-27-2017 08:50 PM

Foster
Cook
Cunningham
Kamara
Mixon
Corner

The Franchise 04-27-2017 08:51 PM

Kamara or Cunningham.

Bowser 04-27-2017 08:51 PM

I WANT Kamara, but we should probably think about an edge rusher.

prhom 04-27-2017 08:51 PM

I think it might be Kamara if he's available to us. His SPARQ score was the highest in the combine, IIRC. Dorsey seems to like those types and we could use some burst from RB. West didn't have it last year and that's not Ware's game.

Mr_Tomahawk 04-27-2017 09:01 PM

TJ Watt?

Now i can look forward to "adding weapons." so I am hoping for the next great KC running back to pair with our QB.

I would also be happy with a pass rusher, ILB, CB, or WR/TE.

Man, what a night.

GloucesterChief 04-27-2017 09:18 PM

Need OLB, ILB, DT.

Dabemer 04-27-2017 09:22 PM

Give me Cunningham.

#Chiefs GM John Dorsey told me he's surprised Florida State RB Dalvin Cook is still on the board.

I honestly don't think KC wants to PR that goes along with having Tyreek and Mixon in B2B drafts...

I'd be really surprised.

Frosty 04-27-2017 10:12 PM

Zay Jones or Kareem Hunt. My dream would be Budda Baker falling but that probably won't happen.

Buckweath 04-27-2017 10:19 PM

I don't see the Chiefs going RB in the 2nd round. People are underrating Spencer Ware because he didnt finish the year as strong as he started it. He has the potential to be a top 10 RB. You can get great RBs in later rounds.

I'm pretty sure Dorsey will go defense and he should too.

Chief Northman 04-27-2017 10:19 PM

Wormley, Cook, Kamara, Samuel, Godwin, Basham, Tim Williams, Baker, Wilson,

So many good players!

Anyong Bluth 04-27-2017 10:54 PM

A Mike- if there's one that isn't reaching. Otherwise, you can never have enough DBs.

Stick with BPA. Actually, more like using a weighted BPA 80% and Need 20% formula seems to be right around the sweet spot.

kccrow 04-27-2017 10:56 PM

We'll see how it falls. For now, sticking with my mock: Daeshon Hall, DE(OLB), Texas A&M

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 04-27-2017 10:56 PM

Kizer or Webb

ROFL

That would be hilarious.

For me it's Cunningham/Wormley followed by Mixon in the 3rd.

Basically load up the defense and get a good RB.

DaneMcCloud 04-27-2017 11:07 PM

I really don't care. There is soooooooo much talent available that Dorsey can't make a bad selection.

That said, I think it's too high for an ILBer. I don't think Dorsey places much value on the position, although I'd be just fine with Raekwon. Otherwise, Anzalone in the 4th.

I'm guessing Mixon, CB or OLB.

BryanBusby 04-27-2017 11:10 PM

I'm thinking they go after Cunningham if he slides within the 50s.

Moving up for King or Bowser would be bombass.

They could sit on an RB until the 5th and take a guy like Jamaal Williams, who would likely compete with West for playing time.

Cook scares me. His SPARQ was sooooooo low.

I'm expecting front 7

Wormley, Cunningham, McMillan, McDowell, Williams, Bowser, Lawson, or Riley

If we go offense, Cook, Kamara, Z. Jones, or Kupp

I'd be happy with King, Baker, Tankersely, Wilson, Awuzie, or Moreau, but I'd try to game the draft a little. Corner and safety is so deep we can get quality guys in the mid rounds.

BryanBusby 04-27-2017 11:43 PM

I wouldn't mind adding Curtis Samuel to the Offense if he fell far enough. Mahomes fun slinging to Samuel and Hill would be fun to watch.

Cook runs exactly like Jamaal Charles.

I'd love to have him...but I agree about RB depth. That's why I waited till late in the CP mock to draft Joe Williams from Utah.

My hope is that one of these guys is still available

Williams
Willis
Bowser
Wormley

The only reasons I'm leaving corners off the list is the emergence of Mitchell paired with the depth of the CB class.

We absolutely need to upgrade the pass rush if this tam is going anywhere in the playoffs.

Now that we have a ****ing QB, WR is back on my radar. It's exciting to want MOAR WEAPONS

I have a feeling that Dorsey thinks his long-term duo is Ford and Houston, otherwise yeah I'd agree.

They have WRs that are developing. They need to bolster the pass rush so the kid has a sick defense to have his back when he makes the mistakes we should all prepare for him to make.

RunKC 04-27-2017 11:47 PM

I think Dorsey will take CB and RB later due to depth. I think Wormley is the prime target but don't think he'all make it. Cunningham would be good too along with Bowser.

Man tomorrow will be fun

There is so much weirdness surrounding Cook that me, personally, wouldn't draft him or have him on my board. There's a lot of talent at the position without the baggage.

That said, Front 7 or CB makes the most sense, from my POV.

No, I agree. I just mean they're officially back on my radar when I had put them on the back burner all offseason.

Nickhead 04-27-2017 11:57 PM

makes no sense to draft offense until round 4 or 5.

has to be defensive positions for the next two picks at least. :D

The guy I really like is Tim Williams.

He had good production while playing less than half the snaps of the other guys because Alabama was so deep.

This team needs to do something to get to the QB in January if they want to play in February.

The thought of Wormley and Jones (credit to RunKC) is very intriguing

I feel like he has a better shot to make it to us than Bowser.

T-post Tom 04-28-2017 12:08 AM

Someone that can score in the redzone...or just score. A RB to help Smith out would be ideal. Probably Cook. They'd have to move up again for that to happen. Maybe Mixon will fall, but I'm not sure they want to go down that road again after the grief they got last year for drafting Hill.

Chiefshrink 04-28-2017 12:10 AM

Dak has Ezekiel and Mahomes needs Mixon for the future. The M &M connection!

He played half the snaps because he sucks ass at defending the run. Would definitely be a Ford-esque type of pick.

Watch them play LSU and hold Fourette to minimal yards.

That was about the only game he was a 3 down guy and he was great against one of the top rushing attacks in the nation.

I was a Dee Ford guy leading up to that draft, too. He was in my sig that offseason.

Williams has a chance to be a far better player.

Second round mock on CBS Sports;

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/n...deshone-kizer/

59. Kansas City Chiefs
Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee: Spencer Ware is a solid option at running back, but Kamara provides a fastball to the arsenal.

Fansy the Famous Bard 04-28-2017 08:29 AM

Gawd, Tim Williams in the 2nd round would make me gag. Listen to the people that watched him at Alabama (aka me). He is one-dimensional and completely overrated.

Mr. Laz 04-28-2017 08:30 AM

CBs Kevin King or Sidney Jones

Assuming no trade up, just straight BPA all the way.

Now that we finally have a potentially legit QB, there's no pressure whatsoever to reach for players, in any round or in any year. If there's a RB, take one for sure, but definitely don't try too hard; the D could use help at every level.
