***Official GDT Royals vs Yankees - May 23***

3 up, 3 down for the Royals. Esky hard out at 3rd and Moose with a big fly to left center.

bsroyals54 05-23-2017 05:20 PM

2 good plays by Headley and Merrifield already

KCUnited 05-23-2017 05:21 PM

Let's do this!

bsroyals54 05-23-2017 05:21 PM

Duffy is getting rocked so far, hard hit outs

ChiefsCountry 05-23-2017 05:29 PM

Boni about had another dong.

Dartgod 05-23-2017 05:29 PM

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang, almost another Boni Bomb.

lewdog 05-23-2017 05:46 PM

Just got inside from "swimming."

It makes watching the Royals lose that much easier.

Dartgod 05-23-2017 06:08 PM

****ing joke of a ball park. He hit it off the end of the bat for a HR.

ChiTown 05-23-2017 06:08 PM

What a ****ing joke. That's a ****ing 315 HR. **** Yankee Stadium

Al Bundy 05-23-2017 06:12 PM

Bad thing is, the Royals pitchers have no room for error here at all.

lewdog 05-23-2017 06:12 PM

Who's the emergency catcher with Salvy at DH?

ChiefsCountry 05-23-2017 06:20 PM

That's the 3rd Royals hit that has been out there.

Good question. I found this from 2015:

Quote:

Royals: Probably Mike Moustakas. Yost: "Moose caught in high school. It could be him."

ChiTown 05-23-2017 06:23 PM

I'm ready to be done with this group. 2014 and 2015 were ****ING AWESOME.!! But, this mixture of players is just crap. Scrub the roster, and let's re-build

PHOG 05-23-2017 06:26 PM

So, correct me if I'm wrong....the last 2 batters saw a total of 6 pitches? And looked completely inept?

Dartgod 05-23-2017 06:29 PM

With the at bats we're getting tonight, that ought to about do it.

PHOG 05-23-2017 06:29 PM

Hmmm, they don't miss mistakes. :hmmm:

Just like most of the season.

PHOG 05-23-2017 06:31 PM

Maybe a few of our (players) guys are already counting the money. Too bad if so.

I don't think that. They just aren't that talented.

I think they are very talented, world champs talented...but for whatever reason, just have a lackadaisical attitude about them, as if to say hey we brought you a world championship, now you won't pay us???

Hmmm they lost probably the 4 most important parts to that championship.

This is a tired and incorrect argument.

Why? If they paid Davis, and let the Cubs deal with Soler, how bad would we be? Quite a bit better I would venture.

Lol at thinking having Davis and no Soler makes this team good.

Baseball has some of the quickest regression of any of the major sports. Teams and players do not typically stay on top for long. We are seeing a regression towards to mean, if not under the mean this year. 2014-15 were likely outliers where this team greatly over-achieved above their actual talent level.

They were never all that great or consistent an offensive team.

They have lost a lot of pitching and certainly pitching depth.

So, your argument is that because the Royals traded Davis, the rest of the players don't give a **** anymore?

No, not at all. I'm saying Herrera in the 8th and Davis in the 9th is looking a lot better, especially with the anemic run production.

Munson 05-23-2017 07:06 PM

Bonifacio saves the day with a 2-run shot!

ChiliConCarnage 05-23-2017 07:06 PM

Jbone!

penbrook 05-23-2017 07:07 PM

Boni needs to be in the lineup everyday

Buzz 05-23-2017 07:07 PM

Let's go Royals!

Al Bundy 05-23-2017 07:07 PM

Why wasn't Boni up early??

tk13 05-23-2017 07:07 PM

Bonifacio is playing himself into an everyday spot.

bsroyals54 05-23-2017 07:08 PM

Wade Davis is a guy that takes your team to the next level, the guy is Iron Man. He is a goddamn Cyborg with ice cold plasma in his veins. He has no remorse and will stop at nothing until your batters are dead and to end the game in the 9th.

Yankees great playoff success can be attributed to Mariano Rivera for all of those years. The hardest out to get is the last out.

C3HIEF3S 05-23-2017 07:08 PM

Bonifacio should give Hosmer and Gordon some hitting lessons sometime.

Yep. I wish his D was a little better than it is, but I love his power

Bonifacio has as many home runs as Cain,Hosmer, and Gordon combined

He's probably the only one of those that is listening to the hitting coach, the others are too good.

Right now, Herrera and Davis would look pretty damn good.

Those keeping score at home....Jorge has homered in each of the past 4 games.

Munson 05-23-2017 07:29 PM

Hahahaaa! Add a 2-run Moose donger!

Dartgod 05-23-2017 07:29 PM

MOOSE DONG!!

C3HIEF3S 05-23-2017 07:29 PM

Can we give Moose a $200 million contract? He's worth more than anything you'd get in return for 3 months of him.

siberian khatru 05-23-2017 07:30 PM

Wow, this game really turned

That might be a little high, but Moose is the only one of them I really want them to keep.

tk13 05-23-2017 07:31 PM

I am on the same boat as Dart. Moose is the only one I keep. He can mature the best of all of them and continues to make adjustments to getting better each year.

I like Cain but he's a sure no with seeing what Gordon is doing as an aging outfielder.

There is no bullshit when it comes to Moose. He went through his struggles no doubt, but he fixed his swing and plate approach. No absurd hot/cold streaks, no superstar ego preventing him from making obvious adjustments, just a good ballplayer who can rake.

Also fat, but that's okay.

bsroyals54 05-23-2017 07:41 PM

By baseball standards I don't really consider Moose fat.

If comparing to other sports, then yes. :D
