The time has come, the parties over. Say bye bye during the bye?
We have really lost the last 4 games only 3 on paper.
IMHO Last week, we got a W. We won the battle against Denver but we did NOT win the war. We scored 1 TD and 5 FGs. Alex's offense racked up less than 200yds of passing, one TD pass, and wait for it. 79 total yards of rushing with 33 yds from Smith himself. Pathetic considering that the Donks racked up within 10 Yds of passing yards and nearly 100 more Yds on the ground. Hunt was held to... yeah, It's bad..46Yds. Denver's total yardage was 167 Yds higher than ours and we had Alex11 leading the league in umpteen different categories. We didn't win we settled for a "w" Can tell me how the Bronco's defense is rated so good but yet is the same defense that the Eagles look like a small Scientology college team? (before getting their eyes plucked out they were ranked#3: Rankings don't mean shit, We were ranked, probably still are die to averages. How the **** can we justify our poor showing last week when a team we solidly beat makes whiney little bitches out of them? (51 points! YES 51!!!!) When I look at the Denver stats and see 200yds from a 12 year veteran QB and 46yds by the leagues leading rusher, I don't see Denver as a great defense, I see the Chief's lack of an effective offense. Alex did not lead us to victory, Peters stole it from Denver. The Offense's piss poor performance earned a "w" just not a BIG ASS "W". Yeah I know what you're going to say... But when push comes to shove, if Peters wouldn't have ripped the ball from Charles' grasp that game would have turned out differently. But I do feel your denial and you can argue all you want. We have been down this road and it doesn't work out well in the long term. I certainly hope that the taste of the Hemlock is to your liking. because unless a big change is made we will be looking at a wildcard game just to make the "real playoffs" More about Denver later. Dallas: The TD pass at the end of the half against the Cowboy's was the only offense we had in the 1st half, I must give Andy credit for looking a dire situation in the eye and making a call that sucker punched the Cowboys. Alex11 should NOT receive credit from Chief's fans or the record books for a TD that was purely Andy and Hill and Co.. Alex threw 20 yds and Hill preformed the magic after the catch, blowing past a stunned, almost deer in the headlights, Dallas defense. Give the Andy credit where it's due. his late night moments, sitting in his office (with a bottle of bourbon?) scheming sessions, payed off BIG TIME. Last week in Denver, not so much... With a reputation for racking up yards and scoring big numbers Alex11's total 1st half offense (less the Hill catch and run) was limited to 82 yards, resulting in 3 points. The Hail Mary, catch and run, (now referred to as Hill Mary) was ****ing brilliant. Alex11 given the opportunity would have took a knee. Did you hear Romo? Thank the football gods for allowing Andy to dream up and the guts to call that play. Once again, I can't give Alex11 any credit (maybe a footnote) for the 7 point miracle which will forever bear Hill's name. Alex had failed to move the ball throughout the 1st half and frankly; My dead Grandmother could have thrown the ball to Hill. The 3 Chiefs who blocked for Hill deserve more credit that Alex11. Hill certainly looked amazing for a few seconds as he had been totally stifled at the line of scrimmage (less than 10 yds?) but in the face of 10 Cowboys somehow steered clear for a critical TD. Dallas, Tony Romo, Alex11, and the league were ****ing stunned by what will be forever referred to as The Hill Mary!!!! I am pretty sure that was a the kind of moment Andy dreams of when he is doing his due diligence unlike any other. On the 1st possession of the 2nd half, With the momentum from the Hill TD, the offense stepped up, and for 6 minutes, the new and improved Alex11 appears, and leads the team 67 yards for a decisive TD. I'm thinking "HERE WE GO". Dallas marches down the field 75 Yds in 12 plays and less than 6 and scores 21-17. Our turn over the ball. 2 dead ball penalties (5Yds ea) and a sack later,; Alex's offense is 3 and out. Dallas' offense walks it back into the End Zone. 13 plays, 87 yards, <7m 28-17 Alex11 runs 8 plays as the "old Alex" that are basically a series of short 3-6Yd passes, achieving one 1st down. Three downs later, Alex11 is looking at a "do or die" 4th and 8 and throws a 7 yard interception into heavy traffic and that's pretty much the game. Face it Chiefs fans: Alex tried hard but if you look at the facts: Alex11 led 1 scoring drive in 4 Qtrs. of football, we turned in dismal numbers, and we got our ass served to us on a silver (and blue) platter. But those same numbers won vs Denver. Have you watched the highlights? It's the Hill Mary show for one play, 1 KC scoring drive, and for the next 22 minutes of Dallas shoving the ball down our throats. Not a pretty sight. Before you go all Sutton on me... We were able to able to hold the Cowboys to 4 td's/ one per quarter and for a team such as Dallas to be contained by a crappy defense(#29?) like ours, is not all that bad. Most expected more. Who was it that said to be successful in the NFL you must average 1 TD a quarter? Oh, Yeah, that was me! If you remove the Hill Mary play we looked worse than any game played in this season or last. Taking the Hill Mary off the books,(-56 passing Yds) we see numbers from Alex11 vs, Dallas that look "déjà vu ish". Total Yds 267 Passing 199Yds--Kelce 73 Yds (Top receiver) rushing 68 Yds-- Hill 37Yds offensive TD--1 If we look at the Denver game last week. Total offense 276 Passing 197Yds--Kelce 133 Yds (Top receiver) Rushing 79Yds-- Hill 46Yds Offensive TD--1 I for one feel that maybe it is time to put an old dog out of his misery, (O.K. our misery:hmmm:) He has been a dedicated well seasoned, warrior who tried hard to learn new tricks, perfect new skills, and was doing very well for the first few hunts of the season. Soon Ol' Smitts started back sliding, when it came to the important hunts, he seemed to "bark up the wrong tree. Just couldn't get or keep anything going as of late. (Viagra or FlowMax pitchline?) I think that Alex may have helped us get a AFCW championship tee shirt, (TBD) I don't think he is going to get us much more after the last 4 games. I am not saying to put him down but maybe send an equipment guy to Onestopfanshop.com and get him a soft bench and a spot by the space heater until his time with us is over. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/2b/63/41/2...s-football.jpg I think it is time to urge Veatch, Reid, And Clark Hunt, to see the real writing is on the wall and during the bye put the final touches on Mahome's grooming and put plans in the works for his NFL debut in week 10. |
You guys can be so dramatic.
The Chiefs are 6-3 and have one of the easiest closing schedules with a 2 game lead in the West. They aren't going to think ahead until they slip under. The Chiefs need the absolute best trade value out of Alex and healthy benching him would nuke it. I'd rather see the Chiefs figure out how to block a ****ing 3 man rush before we put out the future. |
Sprinkle in some Mahomes.
|
If Smith keeps diving headfirst on his useless scrambles he's going to take care of this matter himself.
|
So much drama, I was actually pretty encouraged that this team can get better over the second half of the season.
Run Defense held Zeke to 3.4 a carry if you offered me that before the game I would have taken it, if anything a step in the right direction. This game basically came down to the offense not getting anything done in the first half. Tyreek Hill getting 2 receptions is unacceptable and Reid/Nagy has to take a lot of blame for that. Team has been banged up and playing a lot of big TOUGH Prime time games 2 Thursdays 2 Mondays and a SNF. The BYE has come at good time. We have quality wins on the resume so enough to feel confident they can WIN games. No team looks invincible yesterday was the Cowboys first home win since September. |
Kareem Hunt getting 9 carries, the OL, and the secondary not being able to cover Dallas WRs was the biggest problems I had with yesterday.
|
So we lost the style points battle.
|
Being at the game yesterday, it's night and day when you see someone like Dak go against Alex. You felt like Dak could score any given moment while Alex looked like a happy feet rookie. He looked like Jay Cutler.
|
Suck it up butter cups! We’re stuck with Alex for the rest of the season no matter what. Benching him would be the dumbest thing in the world! No one is gonna trade us for a guy we benched for a rookie! We have to pray that Alex balls out against a soft schedule for the rest of the season. In my opinion this season is all about trade value for Alex. Don’t even think about the playoffs. Don’t get your hopes up. I’d take a better trade for Alex than I would one playoff win. I’d take a first/ second over Alex getting us to the AFC champ game and losing.
|
calling Alex Smith by Alex11 isnt actually a thing is it?
|
All these games don't mean shit anyway.. or so we have all read here. Just have to get to the playoffs and win there. They are still on track to get to the playoffs. Until they get to the playoffs, all bitching and moaning should cease then... since these regular season games mean so little... right?
oh, but y'all want things both ways, amiright? |

Cowboys got Ass invaded in Denver The Steelers got blown up at home vs Jacksonville New England got smacked by KC Seattle looks like crap every other week. Chiefs worst loss is either last night or a 1 possession game versus I say the Chiefs rest up work hard and 5 or 6 games to close out the season. |
Quote:
If this is what we are doing, I would rather see Mahomes in there getting some experience for next year. That would do more good than having a higher draft pick. Look at what Watson was doing. And most here would argue Mahomes is better than Watson. Mahomes has had nearly 6 months since he was drafted, and two since the season started to learn. Let him play and get real game experience. Then he and Smith can continue learning in the film room from a different perspective. And Mahomes can get a game or two of experience in the playoffs, which could make a huge difference going forward. |
It all comes down to getting dominated up front. Defense and offense was pathetic yesterday.
If we're to the point where we consider conceding 28 points a solid defensive performance then we aren't going anywhere. That is terrible defense. It's like being content an offense only scores 17. Not horrible, but not championship level. The only reason this season isn't worse is because Smith balled out. But we must accept that Smith was never built to win shootout after shootout. He's a placeholder. This defense is giving up upwards of 23ppg. And we have Alex at quarterback. Not a Superbowl recipe |

We need to get healthy over the bye. Have the chance to get the starting OL back going forward which will improve the running game, and stop Alex from getting killed. The defense is concerning, but I hope we can adjust to stop the run. |

Ouch. I'm no Alex Smith fan but that is a burn to the third degree. |

Mahomes is not replacing Alex this year. Its not going to happen for any reason besides injury. Doesn't matter if we lose another 4 games. we are 1/2 way through the season. That concrete has been poured. |
Quote:
Even healthy our line is very mediocre run blocking and pretty poor pass blocking. And that's with an elusive and scrambling QB that can avoid sacks when the pocked breaks down... |
Quote:
I dont see a scenario where Smith is starting next year or even kept on the team other than a Mahomes injury in practice ala Watson. Then I could see them hedging their bets. We trade Alex and we can get a top LB or secondary player in the draft. Mahomes era begins. We can all see it. Just need to be patient. |
I couldn't even finish reading the OP because of the poor grammar. You write like our offensive line run blocks. Geeez...
BTW, we did earn the W against Denver, no matter how much you want to discredit it. |
Quote:
You look around the league and the young QB's that were successful early like Dak and Wentz had very good lines in front of them. |
Quote:
Yes when we failed to score more than 10 points on offense* vs their 28 Hill Mary not included, than They looked pretty dammed good with 4TDs and being able to walk the ball down the field and scoring all 4 TDs in the Red Zone Sun, Oct 1 DCB vs Los Angeles L35-30 Sun, Oct 8 DCB vs Green Bay L35-31 |

Thank God for the noobs on this board.
My lord we played a difficult schedule. Nobody in the modern NFL goes undefeated. Really, really good playoff teams go into the playoffs with 3-4 losses. I mean I don't know how you guys do it. How do you come home every night to that fat ugly wife of yours and not just kill youself right there? Oh that's right, we have boobie thread on the planet. Nevermind. We are fine. We will make the playoffs. We will get better defensively (been tinkering) Just need to be healthy come playoff time. |

So IMFHO the problem is not the defense as much as it is the offense, Add 9 points to our scoring and our problems go away as we would be 8-1. which if I do say so is pretty ****ing respectable. Read the title? |

Dallas did just that and we didn't. When we did FG and D and ST's added on to that making an nice average of 34 points a game. Do you understand the principal? either we stop the other team from scoring or we score more. Our defense is not the slacker from which the bar was set. However yesterday, our defense actually played fairly well, especially in limiting Elliot's damage. Our offense was responsible for repeatedly putting our defense back on the field. Poor QB play, dumb penalties and poor play calling on offense was the major contributor to that loss. |

Giving up nearly 30 points isn't what I would call a good Defensive day.
They would of been gashed for more if Dak were a little more on the mark. Even with that, Terrance Williams deep dicked them for almost 150. |

Where are the weaknesses on that offense? They have none. The defense held Dallas to their lowest yardage total of the season at home, and their lowest point total since Week 2. They haven't scored less than 28 in the last six weeks. You can't really ask for much more. |

You remember saying that shit Clay? Maybe get Alex's cock out of your mouth first. But hey let us know about that elite Dallas Offense carving up Defensive powerhouses like SF and the Packers. Tight. |
Quote:
Dallas has been a top 5 offense two years running now. Other than a brief 2-game outlier at the start of the season, they have been scoring 31.6 PPG. You're so obsessed with blaming the defense you still don't comprehend KC just held Dallas under 30 for the first time in OVER A MONTH. The Chiefs had an offense that was supposedly elite, and it needed to perform to that level to beat another elite offense on the road. It failed miserably. |
Quote:
You're mind numbingly stupid. 17 points isn't enough and giving up nearly 30 points to a good but not elite (learn what elite is you ****ing dumbass) isn't good enough. It was a team loss. Now **** off you ignorant twat. |

Or hey lets talk about how a Defense that let Terrance Williams rack up 150 yards was good enough to win the game lol E: sorry. Terrance "Elite" Williams |
Quote:
We had an opportunity to win that game because our defense held an elite offense in check relative to it's other performances the last six weeks. The offense totally blew that opportunity. Not even close. |
Same ole Chiefs
it's just a different year. |
Alex gets to include 2 TD passes in 2017 along with the yardage in the NFL stats. It doesn't mean that I have to like the fact that they inflate the real numbers.
If Alex11 were to pitch the ball from the goal line 1/2 foot to Hunt and he took it and ran it out of the end zone for a TD over 100 yards away should Alex11 get credit for a 99Yd TD pass? Should he be #14 in the record books with Brady, Plunket, Green, Farve, and the others. Yes, by the rules, he gets to be there, but I wouldn't be proud of him for getting there. Car dealers have managers who sell cars all the time. Someone who didn't sell the deal doesn't even know the customers name, still gets credit for in the records for the sale. When I bought my Benz directly from the GSM, the salesman who delivered it took 15 minutes doing paperwork and giving me the keys. But, he got credit for the sale. When it comes to awarding "salesman of the month", and giving out a fat bonus, is it fair to include my sale? In the case of Hill Mary, I don't think that Alex was really a factor in making that TD and the 56 yards attributed to it. Accept it in the NFL records? Not my choice. Give him an accolades for throwing a ball 20 Yds. to Hill when he was intentionally left uncovered? No, not so much. Quote:

The Cowboys aren't an elite Offense and stat padded against a run of shitty Defenses. An elite Offense destroys a #1 Defense. The Chiefs let Terrance Williams wipe his balls allover the Defense and still about gave up a hund to EE with a gameplan set to stop him. Marinelli figured us out completely and Andy had no clue how to adjust. Alex went into his dink and dunk shell. Our DL is a fat turd and the Cowboys did a great job.craahing with their front 4 while Andy Heck fingered his ass on the sideline. It was a team loss. Try again. |

All stats become averages and averages are not accurate in the NFL as the more games played the lesser the impact of a good or bad game is on the numbers. |

The Chiefs are who we thought they were before the season - a pretty good team that might win one game in the playoffs (if they don't get the dreaded bye).
Then we beat the Pats and apparently caught the Eagles napping, and everyone prematurely started sucking each other's dicks. And now we're back to reality. Enjoy the ride and who knows maybe we'll get really hot at the end of the season somehow. |

I love the Chiefs. I love KC all together but anyone that watches Smith the last 4 games and watches our OL the last 4 games must be really a homer to think this team can be a champion. I don't see it. I don't see a defense that hits hard and I dont see an OL that wins at the LOS. I also dont see a QB that is clutch when we need points. This team has done well to be 6-3. They havent played that great since the opener.
