I still don't have that much confidence that this D can stop a team with a pulse. The Raiders looked like they didn't even want to play.

Week 15. That would make us 8-6, Chargers 7-7. So the Chargers could still win the division even if we win on Saturday. There aren't any clinching scenarios until week 16

I believe we can clinch Week 15 if we beat the Bolts and Fins. The Denver game won't matter because we will have swept the Bolts. The Chiefs are in good position as they control their own destiny at home.

We would be 8-6, Chargers would be 7-7. We beat the Fins we are 9-6. Chargers win their game and go to 8-7. GAME OVER - KC can lose to Denver the next week and finish 9-7 and it won't matter what the Chargers do as the best they could finish is 9-7 also BUT KC wins the division by virtue of season sweep.

Also, if the Riders manage to crash the 9-7 party - the Chiefs will have a better division record than them and the Bolts - So again, KC wins the division by week 15.

But this team has talent and coaching and if it can get its shit together, could go on a run, especially with Nagy calling the plays, we are much less likely to have stalled drives. Plus if the Defense can get going like yesterday, which they are very capable of doing as that is the Chiefs D we have seen the last 5 years, we can get all 3 phases going at once which we haven't had all year...this could be a dangerous team in the playoffs..

If the Chiefs are 9-6, I don't think I would sit the starters. We would be awfully hot at that point, and to sit them would risk breaking that momentum. Add on top the fact that it is against Denver, and I definitely wouldn't do it. That is a bad first game to throw Mahomes into with backups.

We don't have the QB, HC, OC, or young talent to afford a slip.

It does seem incredibly unlikely that we would go up to NE and win again. PIT has our number. That being said at this point the pressure is off because our collapse was so bad that nobody respects us anymore.

If KC would show up to a playoff game and play to win and not afraid to lose maybe something good could happen. Probably not but it would be nice to at least see it happen if for no other reason than not letting another rival win the division.
