Terminally-ill Chiefs fan dies hours after seeing his first game at Arrowhead

Lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan Felipe Lopez finally got to see his favorite team in person on Dec. 16 when the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers.

Hours after the game, Lopez died in his hotel room.

Lopez, 56, was diagnosed with liver cancer earlier in 2017 and told by doctors that he had six months to live. Thanks to the Dream Foundation, he was able to get to Kansas City to see the Chiefs play and even got to be on the field before the game.

The Chiefs won the game 30-13 to take control of the AFC West. Lopez’s first and only Chiefs game was definitely a memorable one.

But his family is now trying to figure out how to get his body back to California. It’s set up a GoFundMe page with a goal of raising $5,000 for funeral expenses and to bring Lopez home.

What he really wanted to see was Patrick Mahomes throwing bombs to Hill.

I was happy for him because he got to see a win

Maybe the chiefs can be his paul bearers so they can let him down one more time.

Didn't they get him a round-trip ticket?

You'll be reading the same about me after the Chiefs win the SB, difference being a combination of heart attack, stroke, and alcohol poisoning.

My father in law and I loaded up my wife 's Grandma and her casket and drove her back to Louisiana. The little Cajun mid was shocked when we dropped her off at the funeral home.

But we had to have a certain form first and let every state know lol

I had a similar experience once but it was my great aunt. Actually died on a road trip. Had to strap her to the roof of our car. Dropped her off in another family member's back yard. It was very surreal.

Yeah except mine really happened. Took the back seats out of the suburban and loaded it up.

No bull shit.

And from Springfield to the Louisiana border my father in law slept and the radio quit working. I drove the whole way in silence.

Can't take credit. That joke is a little less well know than the "white Substance" joke.
