Chiefs Sign Robert Golden
|
Blah.
|
no eric reid then? :D
|
Steelers safety that last few years?
Ok |
Started a couple games for the Steelers last year and got a 71.1 grade (average) from PFF
Decent depth signing I suppose |
Seems to be decent in special teams, according to Steelers fans. Hopefully he's not the next Zombo.

Also, former ST’s captain
|
Sir Robert Golden of the Pittsburgh Golden's?
That family made a mint in the shower industry. |
Finally a Terrance Copper replacement!
Actually Golden is solid on specials. |
Seems like he’s not a great player but probably an upgrade over what else is there outside of Berry.
|
Solid backup, locker room leader, special teams ace. Still draft one with one of our first three picks.
|
based on a few things, I don't hate this for depth.
|
pretty name.
|
...streams all over the opposing QB
|
We're SILVER!
|
We don't normally sign this many FA's
|
Big upgrade over Ron parker
|
Trash
|
Veach is serious about getting a different "mindset" on defense. The defense is soft. By the time the season starts, it appears we will have a coachable defense that actually likes to hit people.
|
Solid backup

If he's good, we can call him Golden Showers.
If he's bad, we can call him Golden Showers. |
This guy is an old school hit machine.
Maybe not but I want him to be. |

I assume this is a depth & special teams signing?

Chiefs nailed the signings of Abdullah and Branch, and they got good value out of Demps and Coleman when they were on the team.
We seem to be great at taking safeties off the street and making them decent pieces to have at that position. I'm hopeful Golden is the same |
Golden is what Sorensen should be.
Sadly, he might be able to compete with Sorensen. I can dream at least. |
Decent little depth signing.
Need another one or two on the DL IMO. |

For comparison Sorensen scored a 40 last year. |
Profootballrumors.com makes it sound like he plays a bit of corner as well as safety.

Look, hard to get excited about a move like this, but I think its a good signing.
Young player with experience. At the very least he provides good depth and improved special teams play. And who knows, maybe he can be more here playing with a guy like Berry. |
They now have Berry, Sorenson, Murray, McQuay and Golden at S. Does one still get drafted?
|

What the **** does that even mean? Every single team makes signings like this. |
Need competent safety play
Similar to what some of the vets in the past were |

You two should meet up at Gate F. Although I'm warning you, LoneWolf, you can't handle this level of studmuffin.

GOLDEN is a PLATINUM signing!!!!!
|
Loneidiot is some 52 year old dude who hasn't gotten a bj in 22 years. He's had more bankruptcies than relationships this past decade.

And I think that's the plan. Let him compete and have him for depth if things work out in the draft... |

He will make his biggest impact on ST’s & provide great depth. Good signing. |
Forgive me for not being excited about this signing especially when a guy like Eric Reid is still out there.
Your beat safety is coming off an Achilles. Behind that we have Murray (sucks), Sorenson (Yuck), McQuay (6th rounder) and Golden (Special Teamer). People around here hate Sutton's defense but I think it's pretty obvious what next year will be. Hope the offense gets you ahead a few scores and play the Sutton classic bend but don't break. |

I hate to say it but he's a ball hawk (only.) He's terrible in man and he's only respectable in zone but he makes his living off reading the QB.
High risk and high reward kind of guy... |

Weird fight to pick.
