Derrick Johnson visiting (and has now signed with) the Raiders...

Seriously... McKenzie going for revenge since Veach drafted his son haha

Not an ideal way to see an all time great Chief end his career in that dump

Good ,I hope he starts there. We have 9 RB's that can run away from him with ease.

But I'd much rather him come home and coach for us.

Why the **** would they want DJ when they can just re-sign Bowman?

It would suck to see DJ in a Raiders uni, but by all means go ahead Raiders. Continue to get older.

I don't disagree. Doesn't change the fact that Bowman made their defense better and I hope that he signs elsewhere.

The Raiders team building strategy has been one of the oddest things I’ve ever seen in the league. They have prioritized getting older at nearly every position.

As much as I’d hate to see this happen, as long as he doesn’t go full Jamarl and talk about how he always wanted to be a Raider it will be pretty hard to not welcome him back into the Ring of Honor with open arms.

OK, I know reading comprehension is hard, so let's try again.

Which Raiders starters are going to be older than the guy who started for the Raiders last year, other than the obvious year older than they were last year.

Dipstick above stated we were going to be older at nearly all positions.

Saying they are older at every position was an exaggeration for sure- but their biggest free agent signing was OLD and many of their other transactions as well. Gruden values experience over youth.

Where did I specifically say the word ‘starters’? I didn’t...

The bottom line is you’ve got a crazed egomaniac running your franchise now for probably AT LEAST the next 6-7 years, and he apparently wants to make your team older and slower in the worst way.

This is just the reality, bro. It’s almost like Al Davis rose from the dead.

Probably not at this point honestly.

Either way, Hill and Watkins > Cooper and Bryant. Every single day of the week x10.

Brooklyn 05-04-2018 05:31 AM

Interesting that he’d go this route with the standing offer to coach the Chiefs. Gotta think Andy and Brett would be a little less enthused about that after DJ tried to get with the Raiders.

The vet minimum is $1 mil. There is no coaching job he could take with the Chiefs or anyone else that would pay him that, nowhere even close. Also a lot of football players wants to be football players for as long as they can.

I guarantee that Andy and Veach understand that.

I think he’d be a good addition. He was coming on late last year. Achilles usually takes a year which would explain slow start. I’m fine with Chiefs moving on but not convinced DJ is done.

I will take a proven player who has lost a step over a unknown any day of the week especially if he is considered a insurance policy.

As I said, he is or was a good player and if he is cheap enough his knowledge of the KC defense alone would probably be worth it if you are a rival team

Don’t agree with your last statement. Knowledge of the Chiefs defense? “Run any play you want. They can’t stop anything.” “Okay, DJ, thanks for the intel!”

On your defense he'd be a big help.

I have nothing bad to say about the guy. This is what he does for a living and he wants to keep doing it.

I only care about this stuff when someone like Kneel Smith says "It's nice to finally play for the good guys."

That ****ery isn't necessary. Do what you do and feed your family but there's no need to shit on a fanbase in the process...

Dude they are all overpaid drama queens...

I use to live to debate and argue about football and couldn't wait for the season to begin... Maybe because I am getting older, I dunno...

I don't get excited after a win and I don't get down after a loss like I did when I was younger and it's not just the NFL... I was the same way about the Tarheels , bet I didn't watch 3 games last year and 2 of those were vs Duke.

I use to take nights off to see the Tarheels and Raiders play.
