Bent hood

Is there anyway to bend back a dent on the front edge of a hood? Fiance hit a deer yesterday and it looks like someone hit the front end of the hood with a hammer. If it can't be done it's not a big deal, just wondering if anything can be done.

Pics of the fiancee that hit the deer?

What color is the hood?

Is it the same color as the rest of the car?

You could cover it with an STP sticker, but it would look really stupid if your colors clashed.

No pic's of the fiancee means she's large enough to sit on the hood and straighten out the dent herself.

Use the fiance's head to gently apply pressure from the inside.

Long story short its' very doubtful. The hood could be metal, polymer or aluminum. Regardless, on any curve there is a compound stress. They are nearly impossible to remove. Possibly if the back of the area is open from the back you could find an item with a similar shape and pound it from the back you may be in luck.

Are there many salvage yards in your area? That's the way i would go.

Turning around and backing over it should get the dent out.

booger 06-30-2018 12:02 PM

does she know about your bent weiner?

Are we talking the car or the fiancee?

stevieray 06-30-2018 12:24 PM

sex on the hood?

don't lie....;)

cooper barrett 06-30-2018 12:29 PM

If there is not a support under the area where it was hit paintless dent removal (PDR) will work fine.

I have my best luck finding someone to do iPDR reasonable is to go a high end used car dealer, Aristocrat?, and ask Used Car manager when his guy services his lot and go that day and see what he can do.

I had a lot of damage from golfball + sized hail and my guy in St Louis removed them all for $500.
Can't find pics but it storm totaled my Civic, parked 10 feet away taking the sunroof.

listopencil 06-30-2018 01:45 PM

Just burn the car to the ground and claim the insurance money. Blame the deer.

Hoopsdoc 06-30-2018 08:09 PM

Sell the car, purchase horse and buggy. They don’t dent as easily.

dj56dt58 07-01-2018 01:21 AM

trade your fiance in for a hooker..cheaper in the long run
