I lost my mom today
 

I haven't posted much in a while, but I always considered this place a great spot to vent, get things off my chest that I couldn't take to social media.

The day I never wanted to come came today for me. My Mom passed away this morning after a few month struggle with various ailments.

She was far too young, 60, for this, but if you're the praying/good thoughts, I'd appreciate some for my mom.

It was sudden and I expected her to pull through. We are all pretty crushed - my kids, who were the lights of her life, especially.

I know what you are going through. My Mom passed on New Years Eve this year. Her Birthday is tomorrow. Going to be a long day. This time last year, my wife and I were taking her to New Orleans for her 75th Bday. A year later and I am left missing her.

When my mom died I searched for a quote to say at her service. I'm paraphrasing but it was something like "there is no one a man tries to grow away from that he misses more when they're gone than his mom." Sorry for your loss.

All the love we know in this world begins with Mother. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for your family you never will accept the loss but slowly it does get better. Soon the sadness will turn to smiles of fond remembrances past.

God Bless you and your whole family. This hits me hard because if I put myself in your shoes I know it would turn my life upside down. My mom is just a couple years older and while it’s nothing terminal she’s had several health issues for years. So I can relate in that way. No kids for me but I think they are going to help you just as you help them as you guys go through this. You’re a good dude and I’m sure that’s how she taught you. When tragedy hits you have to stay strong for the close ones that haven’t yet been through something like this. You are their strength. But you also need to grieve and not just hold it in. Everything is going to be alright man. Praying for you all as you go through this and I also have to tell you that I don’t know if I was in your shoes right now if I would have the strength to come here and post this. I find that very honorable and admirable. Never know who is reading and will draw strength from that
