Let's talk about the Steelers

The time for vengeance has come.

**** the Steelers. **** the Steelers. ****. THE. STEELERS.

So how does next week's game look to everyone?

Sassy Squatch 09-09-2018 06:09 PM

They really didn't look that good today. Granted, it was in a downpour for most of the game so probably not any indicator of what we're facing next week.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-09-2018 06:11 PM

I’m throwing all of the recent past games out the window for this one. Don’t know what to expect.

TLO 09-09-2018 06:12 PM

For what it's worth - the Steelers opened as 5, yes FIVE, point favorites in Vegas.

Jesus H Christ.

Did Vegas not see us play today? Did they not see the Steelers tie with the ****ING Browns?

TomBarndtsTwin 09-09-2018 06:12 PM

I’m just glad Bell won’t be there. Gives us at least a remote chance to outscore them.

Gonna need another game from Reek and Mahomes just like today’s . . . .

Mecca 09-09-2018 06:13 PM

Their defense is not very good and they try to make up for it by being dirty. Roethlisberger honestly looked old today and Connor is a solid player but he is not Bell.

They could honestly see some serious come back to the pack this year if Ben doesn't pull his head from his ass.

tmax63 09-09-2018 06:13 PM

The Browns had to play in it to. I wasn't impressed except for their receiver that always puts up 100+ yards.

RunKC 09-09-2018 06:17 PM

They just tied Cleveland. CLEVELAND.

They are going to be angry as hell. I think we lose this one

Brown should be shadowed by Fuller (and Berry if he's bask).

The Browns have talent on Defense and they were playing in a monsoon.

The Chiefs can't count on Antonio Brown dropping 4 TD's

Any sack we get will call for a penalty

pugsnotdrugs19 09-09-2018 06:23 PM

Well I think it needs pointed out again that Pittsburgh’s two biggest Chief killers are very likely both out for this one (Bell, Shazier). That’s huge.

I like our chances, especially if Berry plays.

The bolded part is what I have gripes with the defense/Chiefs.

If the Chargers WR's have caught those passes, this would have been a different outcome for the Chiefs.

We can't expect the lucky trend of WR's dropping footballs will continue.

Mother****erJones 09-09-2018 06:25 PM

Ben is completely different at home. He’s throwing 500 on us.

RippedmyFlesh 09-09-2018 06:26 PM

This is the first time we play pitt with Mahomes. The past means nothing.

ping2000 09-09-2018 06:26 PM

They are cheap shot assholes. Our o-line better protect Pat.

Then Mahomes will have to throw 501.

ping2000 09-09-2018 06:27 PM

Also watch their POS coach. He'll try to trip Hill as he is running back punts for TD's.

MahiMike 09-09-2018 06:29 PM

Invoke the 24 hour rule dude.

WhiteWhale 09-09-2018 06:29 PM

**** the Steelers. For three seasons I've watched WR's run wide open through their defense while our snakebitten QB, terrified of the vaunted Steelers' D, held the ball and otherwise hesitated his way into ineffectiveness.

Mahomes isn't snakebit. He'll see the openings.

This isn't 2016

Steelers aren't as strong and Big Ben looked terrible. 4 interceptions in Cleveland

Imagine the melt if our QB did that?

This isn't a scared 2016 offense, this team knows no bounds

It'd hard to tell if the steelers D was really good or if tyrod was really bad. If it's the former then we might be in good shape. I think the browns D is better than advertised but the steelers o doesn't look the same without leveon bell. Seemed much more like a screen game than a smash mouth offense.

Bewbies 09-09-2018 06:42 PM

I want us to win cause I have a lot of Steelers fans in the family, and I'm tired of them getting to talk trash every time we play.

However, if we lose this I don't know why anyone would be upset with a 1-1 start on the road to two of the AFC favorites. Even if the Chargers are a bunch of 9 losses in a row to us bitches.

If we start 2-0 I may not be able to save the skin on my chub.

If we get to 2-0 we’ll be on a good track to a bye... schedule weakens a lot as the season goes on

IF... and I do mean IF Berry is healthy this defense has a chance to be decent. We really need him back.

dannybcaitlyn 09-09-2018 06:54 PM

The Chargers tore the Chiefs up today throwing to the backs, especially screens. They better get that shored up.

On the road @ Pittsburgh?... the refs wont be allowing us to win the game no matter the circumstances

The offense will have to take it completely out of the refs hands in order to win

I usually agree with your takes but this one makes me scratch my head. The Steelers D looked AWFUL today. Their offense looked mediocre at best.

What did you see today from either team that makes you say this? Is it just our past performances against them? If so, bro...it’s a new day.

We haven't won in Pittsburgh since 1986. Patrick Mahomes wouldn't be born for almost 9 more years.

farmerchief 09-09-2018 07:07 PM

We'll probably have to put up 40 pts to their 38!

RunKC 09-09-2018 07:07 PM

We always get the Steelers when they are pissed off. I still hope Mahomes beats the shot out of those assholes but I’m not counting on winning.

TwistedChief 09-09-2018 07:25 PM

This morning Maurice Jones-Drew dropped that Bell had a plan and the animosity he received from teammates when he didn't report changed that plan. Don't think there's any chance Bell is back for the game. The Steelers/Tomlin will try to play this as redemption after the mediocrity against the Browns, but I think the Chiefs are just better. We always lose this type of game but I think we have the advantage.

No it does not. Please stop lying to yourself, save yourself some pain, dude. This D is ****ing terrible and it will be all year, with or without a hobbling Berry.

Focus on the only thing that matters for this team: Mahomes. Unlike years past, we can beat the Steelers without some smoke and mirrors or other BS luck. But we'll need Mahomes and the offense just as good or better than today, because we're going to give up 35 without Ben breaking a sweat.

PHOG 09-09-2018 07:37 PM

Same way the Chargers were gonna drop 40 on them, right?

arrwheader 09-09-2018 07:42 PM

It will be a shootout. Our D sucks, they will get better I’d imagine but right now they suck. Ben will sling it all over our secondary.

The difference this time is we have mahomie throwing who can also sling it.

Chiefs win by a TD and make a statement.

I mean the defense definitely wasn’t great today by any means, but that charger offense is pretty ****ing good.

Plus they’ve got what like 7 new starters on the d?

I’ll give it a bit

Iconic 09-09-2018 07:58 PM

Some of the other guys are going to have to step up between Watkins, Kelce, and Hunt. PITT saw the tape. They will be scheming Hill out of the game somehow and I'm sure Butler will be drumming up those disguised blitzes he loves to run. We are going to get a real nice look at Mahomes post-snap judgments this upcoming Sunday. While I fully believe he will be up to the task because I consider that his forte, he'll also need to be able diagnose this pre-snap which I think he might have some difficulty with. It'll be very interesting to see if he maintains his cool and doesn't shit his pants like Smith used to.

Ive always looked at match ups the same way. As far as playing them next week goes I would have preferred them win today by some boring 21-10 score.

They shit the bed today. Ok they tied, but they blew a 14 point 4th QTR lead to the previously 1-31 Cleveland Browns to end up in a tie. Thats a bed shitting and they will have their noses rubbed in it all week . Doesnt mean they cant lose the following week, or wont, but we will see a different Steelers team.

Think back to 2016 when they got embarrassed by the Eagles and then took it out on some unfortunate team the following week.

Hammock Parties 09-09-2018 08:02 PM

They are going to hit Mahomes.

I hope Andy feeds Kareem a little more this game because I'm worried about the hits Reid is exposing him to already. He's going a lot of empty and a lot of option. No bueno long term.

I heard the announcers say something to this effect while watching the game, and I thought about the drive where the bolts had two or three big drops in the endzone on a series which still ended with a TD, and that makes me wonder again about your comment here.

Was there really 4 different TD drops on 4 different series, that otherwise ended with a FG or no points, where the drops really influenced the outcome?

What really affected the game from what I saw, was the play calling (again/still/whatever); Too many trickery calls in the red zone, (lord Bieniemy is going to get Pat killed) and the prevent defense for the bolts last two scores

We’re beating the Steelers next week. Kelce and Hunt have better days too
