Best pick of the day. Kid was very good. Experienced and a nasty, physical Blocker. Will be a starter next year if not by mid season this year. Guy will be in the league for a long time. Interior OL is exciting but I love this for a 7th round pick.

Apparently he was the 3rd best guard in the nation

He looks like someone that can play G or C. OL versatility is always great to have with injuries, etc.

I like beefing up our interior OL, because with Mahomes' mobility, he can escape an outside rush, but there's no escaping pressure that comes from the middle.

Dante84 04-27-2019 03:26 PM

He's got some nasty.

Same body type as Richie Incognito

Yeah, a little bit of nasty up front to go with our speed is a good combo.

Yo if thats the case, Im very happy!

One thing I noticed about our Oline is that they lacked that physical mean play and would get their shit turned inside out against mean nasty physical Dlines. I love the athleticism of our Oline but there needs to be that fine balance between athleticism and mean nasty physical play. He addresses what we lack and therefore Im rooting for him.

Maybe Allegretti could teach Fisher a few things or two on how to be physical and nasty. Or is that something you can’t teach?

It will probably depend on how good Reiter is at Center. Also, Allegretti is listed at G on the Chiefs website, fwiw.

The kid's going to be a Center, OG depth is logjamed

Kiimo 04-28-2019 08:12 AM

McKenzie is going to be a center?

Also I'd rather see what McKenzie can do considering on the depth chart last year Cam Erving was listed as the #2 at FOUR offensive line positions and sucked at all of them.
