Hopefully 100% by 12/1

Is strained better than pulled??? Or are they the same??

Yes. Far better.

PattyFlakes 11-18-2019 11:08 PM

Perfect time for a bye week so he can rest it up.

BryanBusby 11-18-2019 11:08 PM

I think they just bubble wrapped him as a precaution for 12/1

jjchieffan 11-18-2019 11:08 PM

Hopefully, everyone that got hurt tonight will be healthy after the bye.

LongSufferingToady 11-18-2019 11:09 PM

My momma used to strain hamstrings all the time. They're quite delicious with cabbage.

ThyKingdomCome15 11-18-2019 11:09 PM

And we still won. That is significant!

IowaHawkeyeChief 11-18-2019 11:10 PM

I don't think Hill will be back until Denver, JMO. A strained hamstring is 3-4 weeks, I hope I'm wrong.

DaFace 11-18-2019 11:10 PM

Glad he has an extra week to heal up.

Three7s 11-18-2019 11:10 PM

Hopefully Hill is good to go after the bye.

Why Not? 11-18-2019 11:13 PM

Already proved we don’t need him to beat Oakland. Hope he’s back by then but it’s not the end of the world if not.

There’s no way he’s missing the Pats game.

BWillie 11-18-2019 11:31 PM

What a piece of shit. Doesn't even care or try. Pussy / CP if Watkins would have gotten hurt

Great Expectations 11-18-2019 11:40 PM

A strained hamstring can be 5 minutes. It depends on how bad it is strained. I don’t trust that we are going to get good information, nor do I think we should. A pull is 3-4 weeks; or longer....

Especially with someone as explosive as Tyreek. For fast twitch running backs and receivers, who start, stop, and start again while trying to reach top speed immediately, I think hamstring and quad injuries are the injuries that can really linger if not given time to heal properly.

I want to see him back as soon as possible, but I would rather have him in the playoffs. If he is out for the Raiders, it's time for Watkins and Robinson to wake TF up.

Treatment,treatment,treatment for 2 weeks

Some lady in a chiefs group I'm in on FB said hill should man up and rub some dirt on it than said she had to miss 2 weeks of work with arthritis

T-post Tom 11-19-2019 02:31 AM

He looked pretty good walking around on the sidelines during the game. I suspect this is mostly precautionary.

Judging entirely on how they opted to treat it just after his came off the field, I think it's just a minor strain; like a cramp. I've had two or three of those back in high school and college.

Hold him out next week, and probably he should be ready to go for the Patriots.

Red Dawg 11-19-2019 05:05 AM

Hammy's linger around for weeks. He won't play against the Faid for sure.

Depends totally on severity and Hill's willingness to take a few IU's of growth hormone.

Dunerdr 11-19-2019 06:59 AM

was this caused by the iffy field or did they possibly play it a little safer because of the iffy field conditions?

We need him for Oakland.

Obviously you never want to rush someone back, but we’re gonna need all hands on deck for that one.

I know the Raiders have improved since week two, but the Chiefs did air raid their defense in that first match-up without Tyreek.

If it's a Grade 1 strain he'll be fine in a week and ready for Raiders in 2 weeks.

Just hoping no muscle tears or Grade 2 or 3 and then he won't play for 3-4 weeks at the earliest.

I think they realized the field was aids as well which helped make the choice to sit him for the rest of the game quite easy.

We lose another game or two and it won't matter until next season.

Between the injuries, the Raiders improvement and that abortion of a game in Nashville, our "down the road" cushion is pretty much gone.

pugsnotdrugs19 11-19-2019 02:17 PM

The Raiders, while not contenders just yet, aren’t to be taken lightly.

They’re a physical team that will want to beat us by being the bully. But when we have all of our speed of the field, that’s very hard for them to do.

chiefzilla1501 11-19-2019 02:18 PM

Thought he looked OK to me on the sideline. I'm hoping we just held him out because the field was shit. Which is good thinking even if he was cleared to go.

I mean I think we can win with or without him.

But let’s not kid ourselves here, this game on December 1st matters a great deal. We HAVE to have it. If Hill can play (even at less than 100%) then we need him out there.

Hog's Gone Fishin 11-19-2019 05:39 PM

If Oakland nails another draft like they did this year we're in for a fight. Next year they're going to be better either way.

After what happened last year, how is the field not in perfect shape?

They made a big production in the pregame show about how much effort was put into it and how perfect it was?

I heard a theory that the field I built for soccer which has much smaller less powerful guys running around and when you put all these 220-300lb dudes on it as well as guys wit the power tour 4.4 40's etc...it doesn't hold up.

It looked to me like the sod was too new.

yeah the 3-4 tears you usually see players limping or favoring the leg. They are off the leg immediately too. If it’s a 3-4, the Chiefs allowing him to stand up on it will be malpractice.

Hope it’s a grade 1 and he’s ready to go against the Raiders.

I read somewhere that they installed the sod a little over two weeks ago. Probably didn't have time for the root systems to anchor enough in that time.

Another thing, and I could be wrong, but that sod didn't look like "football" grass.
