Sorensen is John McGraw. Change my mind.
Special teams staple that wouldn't be a starter at Safety on most teams.
It's suspicious that he might have blackmail photos on Front office personnel. Makes one or two big important plays per season, keeping the hype embers smoldering. Duscus. |
Also, DAT is Dexter McCluster.
|
Cool.
|
Sorenson is better than McGraw was.
Also, YOU'RE RACIST! |
McGraw with more wives
|
Maybe I'm one of the few who didn't have a problem with Mcgraw. We could have done a lot better but also a lot worse. He wasn't meant to be a starter, just quality depth. Sabby piscitelli sand Kendrick Lewis should be a reminder of what bad looks like.
|
He's actually Tim McGraw. It's pretty impressive really that he can keep up both jobs.
|
Guy makes plays.
|
Hard worker, lunch pail to work every day kind of player, high football IQ and motor.
|
Don’t get the hate. Find my a defensive player over the past few years that has come up with more big plays in huge games. I’ll wait.
EDIT: Obviously Chiefs games only. |
Cmon, maybe Sorenson isn't what we want for a starter, but he's much better than practice squad quality.
|
Also both outstanding special teams players. Mcgraw especially was really really good.
|
My only real complaint is he’s overpaid for a 3rd safety.

Also, I don't hate the guy, just was thinking he has a lot of similarities. Mainly, a lot of CP grumbles week after week then he makes a clutch play a couple times a year. |
I don't remember enough about McGraw to draw a comparison, but I'm a Sorensen fan. He's not an all-pro, but he earns his spot on the team and as mentioned earlier, he's made some very important plays for us over the years.

Just remember that Sorenson was pretty much the only defender that came to play with fire in the AFCCG. |
Travis Kelce is Jared Allen on offense
|
Sausage is pretty much Boomer Grigsby
|
People just undervalue Sorenson because he's white.
It's assumed that white people lack athleticism so they scoff at white corners, safeties, running backs, wr's etc unless they're undeniably gifted like a McCaffrey. Sorenson, as a 3rd safety and a role player, is a solid player. |
Sorenson has made more plays for this team than Kendall Fuller ever has yet people won't stop jockin' Fuller for whatever reason.

Sorenson is the only player it seems like on the defensive side of the ball where it’s prime time or big games he always shows up. I’m proud to have Dirty Dan on this team
|
Sorenson isn't a great player, and has a lot of weaknesses - but he also has a knack for making game changing plays.
(See INT vs the v Chargers as the latest example) |

I'll agree he's overpaid, but the guy just just seems to always be around the ball. He's a good ST player and isn't afraid to tackle or take on a block, something that many of our "stars" seem to have an aversion to. He saved the game in Mexico City and that's not the 1st time he's made a game changing play.
|
Dirty Dan asked me to tell you to **** off.

I've really come around on Sorensen. He's not somebody I'd want as a starter but if your starter gets hurt it's good to have Sorensen as a backup. As others have pointed out he seems to step up when it matters. Good quality backups are hard to find.

People tend to diss Sorensen because he gets beat. |

I like Sorenson. He’s a heady player who plays the game the right way.
A true grinder who’s sneaky athletic |

He is far faster than McGraw.
He's also a better player, mostly because he's faster. After the Sanders Cummings, Ron Parkers, Eric Murrays, and Leon McQuays of the world, I'm more than OK with Sorensen as a 3rd safety. |

Was Ron Parker the Mike Brown.

Jon McGraw was a 2nd round draft pick for the Jets. He ran a 4.5 40, 39.5" in vertical, and 10.5' in broad jump.
Daniel Sorensen was a college free agent for Chiefs. He ran a 4.67 40, 32" in vertical, and a 9.5' in broad jump. Daniel has a lot of "want to" but is limited with his physical abilities. I like Daniel but the Chiefs need to control how they use him on defense. If KC asks him to cover a fast RB or WR, the results probably won't be pretty for the Chiefs. |
Frank Clark is Eric Hicks.

TinyEvel is Deberg.

Anybody that doesn't like Daniel Sorenson is an utter ****ing moran! He's the most versatile player on Defense.

And Damon Huard is Matthew Perry. |
I think it was last week, one of the announcers said something like Sorenson gets targeted in the passing game more than anybody in the league.
|
Change your mind? How can I do that? That's sort of like telling me to put horseshoes on a unicorn.
First, I'd have to find a mythical creature that doesn't really exist...:D |
Dan Sorenson is Sabby Piscitelli

I like dirty Dan. He does come up with some game-changing plays a few times per year. He’s stuck around and survived the cuts season after season. How did he get the nickname Dirty Dan? |
I love Dirty Dan.
|
Okay, mind changed. He’s much better than McGraw.
He seems nice. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.des...h-nfl-s-chiefs |
Because he drops the hammer!!!!!
|
Dude, Sorensen is ALWAYS around the ball. Best hustler on the team. Lay off.
|
Can’t believe people want him cut
|
He's a lot better than McGraw, but he's still in that class of people who would never have stuck with the team if we had a half-decent defense
|
You say John McGraw, but when there’s a big play to be made he turns into ****ing John McClane from Die Hard.

Who doesnt love Tim McGraw?

Sorenson cracks me up. Dude sucks but every other game he pops up and looks like a star. True fans can't get enough of him. Realistic fans know he should be gone.
|
I liked that pick 6 against Brees in 2016..in terms of names Jon McGraw is a goddamn slick name
|
Dreamy Dan, amirite?
|
Sorenson gets hate for the same reason that Wilson always got hate around here. They were both very good backups, but not good enough to start. Which is fine, until they get thrust into the starting lineup for extended lengths of time and the weaknesses that kept them from starting got exposed. Particularly Sorenson. I mean, he had to step into Eric Berry's spot. Of course he wasn't going to fill those shoes. But people hate on him just the same.
|
i don't remember mcgrawful ever being good in coverage
sorensen is pretty good in his 'vulture' role, he's just not a starting safety and you don't want him on any elite players he's a nice complementary chess piece, kind of like mark mcmillian |
Sorensen plays a role and does fine as long as he is not asked to do too much. I can't hate on him, he plays tough and heady.

Saw an interesting tweet today about how Sorenson has become our go to guy to cover the rb. Has helped fix a huge weakness from earlier in the season while giving more flexibility to play around with honey Badger.
|
Sorensen is the white Honey Badger.
|
Made his big play of the season today. And the Raiders game. He's got about 2-3 more.
