Lots of people came dressed as empty seats
So many empty seats at kickoff. 6 or 8 together on the lower level in some places. Large chunks on the upper level too. The whole team is healthy, Raider week, chance to cement first place... Sad!
Matthieuception! |
Yeah. Pretty weak. The crowd that is there sounds loud, though.
|
Maybe if you make a rolling roof people would be more jazzed to come. Im not going to a Chiefs game in December. Just like Im not going to a Royals afternoon game in the middle of August. Call me soft...but why be uncomfortable when you have a better seat at home or at a bar?
|
Looks pretty packed to me. I think people were just trying stay out of the weather longer.
They had more time drinking in the parking lot bathrooms are full lol |

I bring this up every year, but it’s the lousy December Kc weather that’s the issue. A dome or rolling roof would solve a lot. |
It's cold and windy out **** that I'll watch it on my 65' TV
|
Surprised you got a strong enough connection to post this from your seats.

It looks pretty full as it is but this game was flexed so who knows how that affects people planning to go.
|
spend 300 dollars on one game you can go to, or spend 300 on a 65 4K tv you can enjoy all day long.

I do hate those TVs that only last one day though. |

The fans who are rabid enough to attend December games probably can't afford the seats. I assume that's the difference between the Chiefs home field in December in the 90s vs. today.

as time goes on and technology continues to make us softer as a people over time so are many fanbases becoming soft staying home instead of braving the outside elements.

I'm not a cold person at all, and would much rather the thermostat be set at 80+..... oddly though, I'd rather deal with an extremely cold game than extreme heat (especially with extreme humidity).
Probably not to watch such a shit team as the Raiders, but there are hand/feet warmers, there's great quality cold gear, hot drinks, heated vests (haven't tried one though), etc. IMO, it can at least be tolerable. |

I didn't get to my seat until about a minute and a half into the game. The crowd was fine. It cleared out in the second half when the game got out of hand, but man, the wind was blowing at 25 to 30 mph and the wind chill had to be low 20's. It was frickin' cold out there. Flexing the game to a 3:20 start didn't help either. I didn't get home until almost 7pm.
|
Upper decks were a little less full than usual but I'm betting the wind up there was SAVAGE. Can't imagine it was a comfortable place to be at all.
Wind is as bad as rain or extreme cold out there. There's just no escaping it and it will **** a tailgate right up. |
Always nice to see people who weren't at the game complaining about other people not going to the game.
|
It was cold & windy.

Short of freezing rain, nothing is worse than high winds. And even freezing rain isnt as bad during a tailgate as that damn wind. |
First game I attended in a few years. It wasn't the temperature as much as it was the wind. Still would again.
