Go on record: your top guys
Guys you'd fist-pump to see in red.
For me: WR Burks RB Cook TE Kolar DL Leal CB Woolen DB Hill |
RB - Pierre Strong Jr
WR - Jalen Tolbert TE - Greg Dulcich DE - Jermaine Johnson DT - Travis Jones LB - Troy Andersen CB - Josh Williams S - Tycen Anderson |
RB - Pierre Strong, Jr.
WR - George Pickens WR - Jameson Williams WR - Jalen Tolbert WR - Calvin Austin III TE - Greg Dulcich DE - Karlaftis DE - Jermaine Johnson II DE - Cam Thomas DE - Sam Williams DE - Boye Mafe DE - Drake Jackson DE - Arnold Ebiketie DT - Travis Jones DT - Perrion Winfrey CB - Zyon McCollum CB - Coby Bryant S - Jalen Pitre S - Daxton Hill S - Jaquan Brisker S - Bryan Cook S - Nick Cross LB - Troy Andersen Guys I will be bummed to see KC draft unless there's a discount from current values: Any LB (in the top 2 rounds) WR - Jahan Dotson CB - Woolen DT - Jordan Davis DT - Devonte Wyatt |
^ so who are your actual favorites? Not your 7th choice guy at one position.

I like his size/speed combo and when he’s available. Offers 98 percent of the athletic profile of Woolen without the inflated price. |

Did you mean a top guy at each spot? Or just guys you’d be excited to have as a Chief?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I assumed he meant people I would be excited to see the Chiefs draft.
|
I think he just means your personal favorite by position, regardless of rank.
|
Trying to leave top 15-20 guys off my list (Jameson Williams and Jermaine Johnson for example)
WR - George Pickens TE - Cade Otton RB - Rachaad White DE - Sam Williams DT - Travis Jones LB - Chad Muma CB - Kyler Gordon S - Daxton Hill |
I fixed mine then
|
I hope the chiefs get Christian Watson in the first round. No risk, no reward. He has extreme athletic traits. His speed, change of direction and ability with the ball in his hands is rare. He even played a lot of RB in college. If he meets his potential, he’s a top 5 WR in the league. I’ve heard all the arguments for WRs in the 2nd round and later but nobody else has talent like this that will be available late in the first or thereafter. Pickens doesn’t have the ability to run after the catch or change direction. He’s linear, top end straight line speed guy with great range. Tolber is a bigger wr that can’t separate in comparison. Jahan Dotson has great hands but his three cone shows on tape with his change of direction also. He’s not an elite athlete. I could go on and poke holes in all these guys. But Watson has the athletic traits and tape to be special with mahomes. Go get Watson.
|
WR Austin
RB Ingram TE Woods DL Thibodeaux CB Gordon DB Pitre |
Can we go on record for not our top guys? Travis Jones will be a bust. He has athletic traits but poor technique and played lower competition. He’s a guy that stands up a lot and doesn’t play with leverage. That ability doesn’t translate in the nfl because of his poor technique and he got by with it in college. Maybe he gets coached up but I see Travis Jones as a bust.

Trade up for Jermaine Johnson or Jordan Davis
staying at #29 Devonte Wyatt If not a trade down #30 Trey McBride |

I read about how much route-running coaching he needed at the Senior Bowl. Dinged him for me. I’d still get excited about the upside. There also would be a lot of people upset about it, which would be annoying if he isn’t a superstar. |

Does anyone else hate that every player uses the same 2 or 3 songs in their highlight reels? lol
|
that are possible? Round one?
Burks Karlaftis Ebiketie Winfrey Hill My favorite fits? Burks Pickens Pierce Cam Thomas Ebiketie |
With varying degrees of realism
WR - Burks, also like Tolbert Slot WR - Kyle Phillips later on. DE - Ebikitie or Bonitto - I know, the latter in particular is probably not a good fit DT - T. Jones - think we'll pass in the 1st and he'll be gone before 50, sadly FS - Jalen Pitre SS - Bryan Cook LB - Jojo Domann OT - Kellen Diesch RB - Pierre Strong, Jr. TE - Greg Dulcich - I like Jeremy Ruckert but possibly less useful for us |
Dax Hill
Jalen Pitre Sam Williams Jameson Williams Chris Olave Skyy Moore Arnold Ebeketie Trey McBride Perrion Winfrey Kyler Gordon Those are my absolute favorite prospects. Still like others but those are the dudes |
WR - Pickens
TE - Otton RB - Strong DE - 1a) J Johnson 1b) S Williams DT - Davis LB - Muma CB - Elam S - Cine |
Am I allowed to include trade up characters, or do I want to stay realistic?

Some dudes have listed half the draft class, which kinda defeats the purpose, but good for them if they'll be easily pleased. I can relate to that. I've watched and read enough to like about a bunch of WR at this point, so there's only 1 or 2 guys I'd be meh on. But with that said, Burks is still *the* guy who stands out for me. Not including Jameson. |

Spoiler!

WR Williams & DE Ojabo for me in the first.
Alt options = Mafe & Pickens. |
I am pretty flexible as long as after the first few rounds the Chiefs have drafted WR, CB, and DE.
Players I like because they are good players and would help the Chiefs are - DE – Boye Mafe, Minnesota, 6-3, 261, 9 7/8 hands, 81” wing, 4.53 40 time, 38” vertical. Maybe 1st round but 2nd round for sure if he is there. OT – Kellen Diesch, Arizona State, 6-7. 301, 9 ½ hands, 78 3/8 wing, 4.89 40 time, 32 vertical 3rd or 4th round RB – Ty Chandler, North Carolina, 5-11, 204, 9 hand, 4.38 40 time. North Carolina 2021 – 13 games, 182 rush, 1,092 yards, 13 TDs, 15 catches, 216 yards, 1 TD 2022 Shrine Bowl – 11 rush, 69 yards, 1 catch, 8 yards. 4th round or 5th if we acquired a pick with a trade. ILB - Malcolm Rodriguez, Oklahoma State, 5-11, 232 pounds, 40 in 4.52 Oklahoma State, played 5 seasons, 56 games, 408 tackles. 2021 129 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 int, 4 PD. 4th round draft pick WR - Tay Martin, Oklahoma State & Washington State, 6-3, 186, 53 games, 238 Rec, 2810 yards, and 28 TDs. 7th round pick. TE – Jelani Woods, Virginia, 6-7, 253, 9 1/2 hands, 4.61 40 time, 24 bench press, Virginia 2021 – 11 games, 44 catches, 598 yards, 8 TDs. 2022 Shrine Bowl - 3 catches, 30 yards, 1 TD |

If I had a magic wand to wave: Kayvon Thibodeaux hands down.
Unfortunately reality comes into play: Christian Watson and damn happy if the Chiefs land him. I love the guy (no gay). |
Quote:
I still really like him. Just a little less ready to pull the trigger on him in the first. And I’ll admit that Pickens has slipped slightly ahead of him for me because of his physicality. But shit. I’ll be glad to have either guy. Just not sure I want to drop 29 or 30 on one of them any more. Need to see the board play out. |

We don't need him since we've got Bolton, but I'll admit to being interested in Leo Chenal. I like granite linebackers.

Last chance for people to go on record. Maybe without listing 40 dudes. |
I'll just do WR's.
Round 1 Give me one of London-Gone at ten Burks Olave Round 2 Get me one of Pickens Shakir |
There's a couple Karlaftis' on these lists. The short ones anyway, glossed over the others.
And quite a few guys still on the board who'd be prime fits in R2. I'd love to double-dip anywhere along the DL if the value fits. Unless there's a run, there should be someone nice at 50. |
