SoFi Stadium doesn't have AC and there's a heat wave
|
A domed stadium that has to delay games during thunderstorms and doesn't have AC.
California. |
$5 billion stadium and they don't have AC.
|
Good,
Dumb ****ing people deserve dumb ****ing prizes. Some check the schedule when are we there? |
Really poorly designed stadium. There's some serious corrupt people that made money off this monstrosity

LMAO dumbassery

Maybe Aaron Donald can fan people with a helmet.
But in all seriousness, did everyone read the article? It seems to indicate that they use passive cooling techniques. |

Are you trying to say the headline was misleading?!?! WHAT KIND OF WORLD DO WE LIVE IN! |
GO RAMS

The temp at kick off is like 84 degrees. I think they will be fine and sell more beer.

It's like when people bitch about a rear camera being standard on a $20k Toyota, but not on a $60k BMW.... if it was an option on the Toyota, it would be $19,800 without a camera... and if it was standard on the BMW, it would be $60,200. And guess what... if they spent millions on A/C, people would bitch about wasting money on A/C that's only used once in 2 years. |

Chargers fans are unaffected by this due to the fact that they don't exist.

Jaguars look over...
...and laugh at the faux outrage. |
Cali is a ****ing shit show of hot ****ing shit.

Not going to get a cooling effect in that stadium when the wind is blowing out to sea. |

Uh, it is SoFi stadium and California. Explain to us all why we should be surprised or more importantly give a shit.
|
Lmao, sucks for them. Tomorrow has a forecasted high of 97 and I'm sure the passive cooling doesn't do well in that heat. After Friday it's beautiful weather.

And conditions on/near the coast can really be effected by what type, if any, ocean breeze they get. As the article on SoFi talks about. |
They only need everyone in the state to unplug their electric cars during the game. No big deal.

All of this DC animosity over a stadium that's in an amazing climate and has been opened for two years with various summer events that people are just now learning doesn't have A/C because it's going to reach scorching highs in the 90s tomorrow is pretty hilarious in a we aren't going to make it, are we kind of way.

LMAO! Heat wave? Try living in Louisiana! Humidity AND high temperatures! Well the Caesars Dome is well air conditioned and cost WAAAAAYYYYY less! :thumb:

Example of folks that have no clue what they are talking about regarding the climate of Southern California. Inglewood is a few miles from the coast, temperatures are moderated by this big body of water called the Pacific Ocean. Yeah, a few miles up the 405 in the Valley it's going to be 20 degrees hotter, but SOCAL in general has many micro-climates. |
**** California
|
I didn't realize that while their stadium has a roof, but the sides are completely open (in most areas).
I'm not super updated on stadiums and air conditioning, SHOULD they have AC?? Places like Green Bay and SF( Santa Clara) their stadiums are outdoor and I dont think they have AC either, so they'd be ****ed, no?? |
Quote:
Google says the average high temperature in Inglewood, CA for the months of July and August is 75 and 76 degrees. |
I moved out to North County San Diego 35+ years ago from Kansas City and just about every place I've lived doesn't have AC. The first 25 years never had a day that I wish I had it, but the last 10+ we are starting to get hotter and more humid days. I bought a portable AC for sleeping..95+% of the time don't need one though...
|
Also - went to Sofi a few times...open sides on stadium...no need for AC - it would be like running it at your house and opening all of the windows...

The vitriol towards California is a little surprising
I can concede that, as California is the most populous state, it likely contains the highest number of a-holes. However, Texas - as the second most populous state - is surely giving Cali a run for its money. I'm sure both states have some very fine people. |
