How many different Presidents will Mahomes visit after winning Super Bowls during his career?

I say 12.

DJJasonp 05-10-2023 05:30 PM

Joe: "I remember playing alongside Bart Starr.....what a team we had!"

RedinTexas 05-10-2023 05:32 PM

These things should be apolitical. Teams should always accept the invitation to go to the White House regardless of who the president is. We need more respect for the office regardless of whether we actually respect the office holder.

It's definitely moving to DC so let me say hello to our DC subforum when this gets there by saying maybe they can visit Trump in prison where he belongs.

Brady’s playing til he’s 50, so Mahomes can do it until he’s a 100.

Realistically, we didn’t get to enjoy the glow the first time at all. I think it was literally 3 weeks after the game before lockdowns started. I remember thinking how goddamn ironic it was that we finally win one and then the whole world ends, I think there were probably some jokes made about it around here.

Glad they finally get to have the experience.

Glad they finally get to have the experience.

And then our "run it back" year was just bizarre. It's easy to forget that they were playing in mostly empty stadiums. Kind of robbed us of some fun hype.

All humor aside, if you are invited to the white house you go. It's about the country not the man inside it.

Covid stopped the 2020 visit

Do the players no longer with the team go? It will be OBJ's only chance and I wonder if he misses out.

Which is sad, because that team may have truly been better than the 2019 team, until we lost our tackles. Would have been great to see them in front of a full Arrowhead.

Covid closings and shutdown started at the end of the month they played in the SB.

Teams should always go to the White House. It should be apolitical. It’s a celebration of our culture. There are I’m sure plenty of the players and fans in the stands that have hard political views as they see it.

I’ve never spoke of or heard anyone talking politics at Arrowhead.

We share the love of the Chiefs and football. That’s what the visit should be about. And what we should celebrate as a nation, city and fans.

He's saying that there's such a heavy emphasis on virtue signaling and wokeism in this country, in so many places and facets of life (the shit part of America) certainly including pro sports, NFL included, with their nonsense political statements on helmets and all the rest, that it's basically guaranteed that a fair few Chiefs would have refused to visit the White House the last time.

It seems unlikely that a bunch of dudes who are making millions of dollars playing a game would have a significantly negative view of the country regardless of who is in charge. From their perspective, things are going great.
