***Preseason Week 2 other teams***
Cedric Tillman looks nice. I wanted us to draft him.
The Browns could make some noise in the AFC North if Watson plays anywhere near the 2020 Watson. Probably the toughest division in the league though. |
Someone said that CLE was going to win the AFC-N earlier today on the radio. I wasn't giving the show my full attention so I couldn't tell you who it was exactly, but the other guy sounded like he was on board with it.
I think Watson would have to have a career year to even sniff a Div title. The sleeper is PIT, imo. No one really has them doing much in 2023, but I think tey might sneak up on some people. |
What are these other teams you speak of?
|
DTR has been impressive all 3 games so far. Could end up being a solid pick for them, he at least looks like he could be a capable backup to Watson. He wouldn’t make it to the PS, especially with the rule change to allow 3 active QBs.
|
That was an interesting stat the Eagles analyst brought up. Dallas Goedert has the highest yds per target in the NFL over the last 2 seasons? Better than Chase, Jefferson, and Tyreek? I’d be lying if I said I would’ve had him even in the top 30 or 40.

Watched a recording of our game last week so stayed out of the game thread but you know who I was really impressed with? A guy I liked in this year’s draft- AT Perry. He’s so much quicker than you expect when you see him because he’s so tall. Like a skinnier, quicker Big Mike Williams. Could be a really nice 6th round pick by the Saints

I was shouted down about Hyatt enough in the draft process with people saying Cedric Tillman was actually better so when it came time for my dynasty draft I grabbed both of them with my last two picks and dammit one of these guys is going to pop off |
Definitely interested in watching the BAL/WAS game.
What will the new and 'improved' Ravens offense look like, epecially now that Lamar has a say in how it's constructed? But far more intriguing to me is seeing what EB's offense is going to look like against a top tier defense, granted in a preseason game. But still, it should be a very interesting game to watch all the way around. I watched a highlight reel of the WAS/CLE game, and two things stuck out to me: One, Sam Howell looked the part. Yeah, okay, he made a couple mistakes, but overall, he looked composed, played well under pressure several times, and more importantly, he didn't turn the ball over vs. what began as a pretty ferocious pass rush from CLE. And two, EB called a solid game, but he also showed an ability to adapt to that pass rush by changing the launch angle, utilizing a moving pocket and even scheming receivers open. He even took deep shots early. In other words, he's not just calling plays to call plays. At least not entirely. Case in point, by the third series he figured out that Wylie was oversetting and getting beaten to the inside (shocker), and adjusted his play-calls accordingly, resulting in 6 points on the next drive. Should be a pretty interesting game if you like Xs and Os and the chess match aspect of football. |
No preseason Hamlin flops. No Fun League
|
Philly/CLE battled to an 18-18 tie.
Mariotta started. First series. Browns plow down to the 2. Fumble. Eagles recover. Next play. Gets tackled in the end zone for a safety. https://www.espn.com/nfl/playbyplay/_/gameId/401547661 |

Looks like Browns fans like Lonnie Phelps. He was great last year for KU.

Hyatt's touchdown was effortless. Tell me more about this gimmick Tennessee offense propping him up |
I see absolutely no way that Bryce Young becomes an above-average NFL QB. Maybe I’ll be spectacularly wrong, but I just don’t see it.
|
Which team will have the worse record: Carolina or Washington? Both are gonna suck rocks
|
Lions Jags neither team playing any starters in Week 2.
|

Well, WAS is in the much tougher division, having to face both PHI and DAL twice, while the NFC-S is currently in a division-wide rebuild mode. Also, WAS must play 8 playoff teams, while CAR only meets 6. CAR definitely should have the easier path. |
#15 Jones for JAX with an incredible catch.
I thought the 1s were going to play today for JAX? Kind of disappointed. |

I'm glad Andy is running the ones for a half |

Andy said yesterday the 1s will play the first half, and the 2s will play the 3rd, everyone else in the 4th. However, the reporter said that it was more likely that the 1s would be done sometime around the middle of the 2nd quarter. Which is exactly how Andy played it last season. |
Lol, nice recovery by Beathard.

This game BLOWS

Lol Tua

Have I mentioned lately how thankful I am for Patrick Mahomes?
Every time I watch an average or bad QB play, I appreciate him that much more |
Hill, Waddle, Berrios, Mostert are some nice skill position pieces... if Tua has taken a step forward they could be pretty damn good IMO
|

maybe. Problem is, he's kind of injury-prone. Mostly though, I'm pretty certain their HC is really a weed-vaping fraud. Damn, now why does that cheerleader look so familiar? Face, I mean. No way in hell I actually know her . . . |

Lol, this is JA's big issue. SA and RT processing. He's an incredible physical talent with many of the other necessary attributes to be great, but JC his situational awareness and processing during a play leave a lot to be desired. And I guess he's not able to fix that for himself. |

Yeah, he's kind of in that 'odd duck' category. Which doesn't necessarily bother me that much generally, but he was touted as this offensive genious or whatever. And then he shit-****s that series last season, and butt-****s his team out of a W vs. BUF in the playoffs to end their season. And it wasn't even a tough situation. ****ing call a play, you vaping moron. What, you never thought about what plays to call to finish off a game, dipshit? Then to top it off, he comes up with some lame excuse in the post-game presser for why he couldn't get a play called THREE TIMES IN A ROW IN THE SAME SERIES WITHOUT HAVING TO USE ALL OF HIS TIMEOUTS. I would've fired him before he got back to the locker room. He's an idiot. |
Watching Steelers/Bills. Both the Buffalo tackles look like turnstiles.
|
Jordan Love has looked really good so far. Don't think he'll ever be in the Rodgers/Favre talent but damn would it suck if he's a good QB for the rest of the NFC North
|
Packers and Patriots just got called with 10 minutes to go after a Patriots CB had to be taken out on a stretcher.
|
Damn. Hope it's not too serious.

Thx. Good to hear. |
Haven’t watched the game today but heard Aidan OConnell had his second very good outing. He’s beginning to turn heads apparently.

^AOC rocks
it’s weird watching the #4 not wearing guyliner though I will say |
Jimmy G always being that guy outshined by the more talented is funny shit
glad we paid bare minimum for the guy |

I was shocked he lasted until the 4th round. |
Saints @ Chargers coming up at 6 central time, really hoping LA runs their ones for a while

Like i can see a team maybe one of the northeast taking advantage |
Maaan, every time I watch a game on NFLN their feeds are BRUTAL... constant prolonged glitches and outages
|
The Chargers look like shit.
Typical dumb move by Staley to bench of all his starters during the preseason… they need the reps to learn a brand new offense. |
Quote:
NFLN live game coverage is horrendous, calling it amateur hour would be an insult to amateur hours |

Won’t work |
Guys that have looked really good to me are Kingley Enagbare, Karl Brooks and Herbig. All guys I liked coming out but all had Qs. Most people seemed to think Herbig is too much of a tweener but tbh his pass-rushing looks lights out. I think he's going to end up a steal in the 4th.
|
Always have someone beside Mahomes on the bench. Watson may free range again
#Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media at practice today that most of the starters will play in team’s preseason finale against the #Chiefs on Saturday. He also said that there will be some guys he holds out, BUT he’s expecting to use the starters for 20-25 plays. #NFL #DawgPound

The Steelers could be a developing problem. No threat to us but could be joining the upper echelon of AFC teams.

Jimmy graham spoke to reporters today. I guess he’s going to be fine.
|
The Ravens have won 24 STRAIGHT preseason games? How is that even possible?
|
Zay Flowers
|
Flowers looks pretty good so far. So does the BAL offense.
|
EB might need to work on holding the play card a little higher.
|
Good looking series for WAS. And Wylie seems to be picking up where he left off last season.

Chiefs legend Melvin Gordon

Phenomenal concentration by 20. Proche should've caught that though
Yeah, Proche just let that go right through his hands. Should've been a TD. |
