Well, everyone has always said that a good tight end is a young quarterback's best friend. He's young, so he can be a good weapon to help a young quarterback grow. I know that he's no Kelce. But Kelce was certainly a huge help for Mahomes development.

Waller is the one who doesn't deserve getting paid, TJ is legit and frankly worth that kind of $ IMO. Now, I agree, he doesn't come close to Kelce, but nobody does.

It's just hard for me to grasp the idea of setting the market at TE and WR within a year of each other.

That's the thing. Jimmy G does his Jimmy G thing when he's healthy and everything is going right around him, but I've never really seen him mask deficiencies on his team. Some starter on the OL is hurt? Too many injuries at WR? He turns to dog shit.

Kirk has NEVER had a complete OL in Minnesota. There's either been weaknesses at the interior or weaknesses at tackle. If Darrisaw stays healthy, this might be the first year he has an actual reliable OL to work with. I'll betcha this will end up being the best season he's had in his career.

Everyone is gonna think Waller is ****ing great now, he is going to get by far the most targets in New Yorks offense.

Honestly, I think Travis is just a weirdo, in that I don't think he's terribly concerned with being paid top dollar. The whole "respect" aspect of how big his contract is just doesn't seem to be on his radar. For which I'm very grateful.
