smithandrew051 10-22-2023 05:17 PM

Glad we finally have good depth at LB even if you can’t replace a guy like that.

Wonder if we’ll see a badass Nick Bolton with a club in the postseason.

Simply Red 10-22-2023 05:17 PM

I am hoping for the best for this man, he's been a blessing. Drew Tranq signing looks a little bigger now.

carcosa 10-22-2023 05:23 PM

I will donate my wrist

RealSNR 10-22-2023 05:24 PM

Shoutout to Willie Gay for making two HUGE plays for the linebackers when Bolton went down

IowaHawkeyeChief 10-22-2023 05:26 PM

Looked like his wrist got caught underneath and probably broke it... 6 weeks? Tough loss, but not year ending hopefully.

Luckily one of those weeks is our bye.

We’re bound to have injuries. If it’s only 6 weeks, I’ll take it.

Pinchshot 10-22-2023 05:30 PM

Most likely a broken bone. Get well soon.

lcarus 10-22-2023 05:31 PM

I hope it's not what it looked like. Looked like a broken wrist. But he'll be back.

I’ll even donate my right one. I can still get there with my left, even if it’s a little clumsy.

KC Hawks 10-22-2023 05:31 PM

Billay will jack him off to let his wrist heal

Chieftain 10-22-2023 05:33 PM

Even if it's a broken wrist, it should heal come playoff time.

KC_Connection 10-22-2023 05:35 PM

May have been a broken wrist but get him rested and ready for January regardless. That's all that matters for this team anyway.

TLO 10-22-2023 05:36 PM

Could a player play with a club with a broken wrist? I don't know how that works.

Rasputin 10-22-2023 05:37 PM

Dang he looked like he was in a lot of pain.. Damn

Jaxon Smith-Njigba had surgery on a broken wrist before the season and was back in a couple of weeks. Maybe we can get that lucky.

Kman34 10-22-2023 05:38 PM

He’ll be back for the playoffs

Gronk had a cast around his elbo that he did elbo drop on a CB for intercepting the ball

Pablo 10-22-2023 05:45 PM

Hoping for the best obv but he’ll be back and better than ever either way. Dude is a goddamn terminator out there just wrecking shit. Gets a finger on you and you’re done gaining yards

Hog's Gone Fishin 10-22-2023 05:45 PM

I broke my wrist when I was 18 and had a cast on it for 8 weeks. Glad I hadn't yet started my career in "pulled pork"

Not sure what a dislocated wrist means? Not as bas as a break I assume.....how long does that take to heal? A month or so?

IowaHawkeyeChief 10-22-2023 05:51 PM

Dang, dislocation can be longer than a break.

CaliforniaChief 10-22-2023 05:51 PM

Let's get it located.

Depends on the severity. he basically had two humans land on his hand.

it normally take longer than a break... sucks.

Sofa King 10-22-2023 05:55 PM

In internet said 2 months to a year depending on if surgery is needed. Better get used to Tranquill.

Rainbarrel 10-22-2023 05:57 PM

Dislocated wrist - Andy Reid

Pasta Little Brioni 10-22-2023 05:59 PM

Urlacher missed the rest of the season when he did

Simply Red 10-22-2023 06:00 PM

I hope he gets a ton of pussy while he's resting up though, TBH. You deserve it Nick!

In pro wrestling, he'd be competing on the next show.

Kman34 10-22-2023 06:03 PM

I think you have to go under anesthetic to get that put back in place.. Going to be outa few weeks..

Sassy Squatch 10-22-2023 06:04 PM

Club that shit up and get back out there.

I did in high school and the other team hated it because it was like having a heavy club attached to the end of my arm. I heard online he could be out 6 weeks but don’t know how accurate that is.

It was a season ender for David Johnson in 2017.

It's just a complicated recovery and full of potential set-backs. 3 months is the recommendation from what I've seen.

Spott 10-22-2023 06:08 PM

Hopefully it’s not too severe like some of those other ones mentioned.

Remember when Patrick dislocated a knee?

I remember...dude was back 3 games later or some sick shit like that

Godspeed Bolton! (Picking up Drue Tranquill was a savvy move by the front office.)

I'm just going to assume he's out for the rest of the regular season and hope we get a report saying he could be back for the playoffs.

RINGLEADER 10-22-2023 06:27 PM

Yeah I broke my wrist — sounds like that’s a better outcome even if you wouldn’t immediately think a break is better than a dislocation.

Marcus Williams is a Safety for the Ravens that dislocated his wrist last year and missed 7 games. Obviously it's different for everyone but I was just trying to find similar injuries and the recovery times.

Injured Oct 9 and came back on December 11.

Kneecap irrc, not a knee. Very important distinction.

ForeverIowan 10-22-2023 06:46 PM

Divisional round 3 months away. Id be pretty surprised if he isnt able to get back. Tranquill, Gay and Chenal need to carry the mail for the rest of regular season.

Hammock Parties 10-22-2023 06:49 PM

Like I said, this makes us worse against the run, but not by a game-changing amount, but it makes us better against the pass on all downs, instead of Tranquill subbing.

If teams want to run more against us, with the offense finding it's way, have fun with that,

loochy 10-22-2023 06:55 PM

Ugh, this is worse than a break. Bones heal faster than ligaments.

ChiTown 10-22-2023 07:18 PM

Can’t they just club it?

Its hard to tackle world class athletes with one hand.. And that thing is going to be sore for quite awhile..

We have the luxury of losing Bolton, which obviously sucks, and still having Gay, Tranquil, and Chenal to hold the fort down.

Bolton's been banged up all year, let him rest. We're gonna need him when the games start mattering.

The reason Chargers didn't extend him was because the run game was his weakness. I think he has done fine so far and will definitely get tested 'now'. But I love his instinctual ball hawkishness anticipating where the run or throw is going for sure.:thumb:

This should be the plan.

scho63 10-22-2023 08:35 PM

The guy plays balls out on every play. I hope his intensity won't work against him with a lot of injuries.

Dude is so good I feel horrible for him.

Cosmos 10-22-2023 08:55 PM

Just resigned Isaiah Moore couple days ago, recovered from injury, looked real good in preseason.

Maybe promoted from PS…speculating.

Athletes nowadays are more sensitive about that sort of thing. Same with doctors. Sure, back in the day Ronnie Lott or Jack Lambert would play the following week.
