Any chance we can get a mod to pin this thread, and unpin last years?

“Hi, SNR. It’s me. Have you ever thought of yourself as a Michigan man? Do you find yourself wondering why every man doesn’t just wear khakis for every occasion?

It’s me, Jim Harbaugh. And in addition to extolling the virtues of a light beige lifestyle, I also wanted to see if you’d have any interest in this Quarterback I have. Justin Herbert. I hear you need a franchise QB, and brother, let me tell you, Justin is that guy!

So what do you say? You send me 1 and 9, and your first next year, and I’ll send you Justin?

We got a deal?”

Hello, Jim.

We are currently fieldsing as many calls as we can and doing our complete best to keep up this ridiculous smokescreen for no reason because that's what you do when you have the #1 overall pick, apparently. You can bet your ass we'll be waiting a good 5 minutes into our pick while we're on the clock just to annoy the piss out of the other teams.

The QB you offered for such a ridiculously high price has a tiny dick and an acne problem. We wouldn't be at all surprised to later find out he's also diabetic.

Your offer is rejected with no counter-offer. Have a nice day!

staylor26 03-11-2024 10:53 AM

7 minutes until the Bears are on the clock!

staylor26 03-11-2024 11:00 AM

The Bears are officially on the clock.

RealSNR 03-11-2024 11:05 AM

The Chicago Bears select Caleb Williams, QB, USC

I think some of you are absolutely ****ing insane for suggesting the Bears take some goddamn Drake Maye douche instead.

Go play Kevin Costner's Browns somewhere else. This is the NFL. Your birthday party investigations don't matter.

Idiots.

staylor26 03-11-2024 11:22 AM

What a SHOCKER!!!

Hey man, have you seen how much people are blinded by hatred of his antics that they'll convince themselves he shouldn't be the #1 overall pick?

I'm not talking about the Buehlers out there who post some things to consider. I mean there are posters who legit think the Bears should keep #1 and draft Drake Maye.

It's unbelievable, and if they think even stupid NFL franchises will do this kind of thing, they're nuts.

There's a graveyard of filled with the careers of dozens of dumbasses who get cute with decisions like this. And most of the time it's not even because they don't know any better, it's because of hubris. We're talking Scott Pioli drafting Tyson Jackson at #3 overall. Why? Because he knows better. He talked to Carl the janitor. Found out the real scoop.

I'm not saying Williams is going to be as good as Mahomes. I'm saying he's the #1 overall pick and should be treated as such by any team like the Bears without a real QB on their team in the #1 slot

Agree 100%.

We've seen what entitled idiots end up being in the league. Usually not much. Johnny Manziel and Zach Wilson had all the physical talent too. Takes more than a 10-cent brain to play QB in the NFL. I'm not saying you don't pick Williams but I wouldn't want to.

Speaking of entitled idiots, the Commanders are ready to make their pick.

Rain Man 03-11-2024 12:51 PM

Commissioner Goodell steps to the podium. "As part of the settlement of the Redsk - uh, Commanders - with regard to sexual harassment of their cheerleaders, a cheerleader representative will make the first selection of the Redsk - uh, Commanders draft. And per the settlement, she doesn't have to be topless."

A modestly clad cheerleader steps forward to the podium.

The QB you offered for such a ridiculously high price has a tiny dick and an acne problem. We wouldn't be at all surprised to later find out he's also diabetic.

Your offer is rejected with no counter-offer. Have a nice day!

Man, Ryan Poles. You really are as big a douchebag as that Ryan Day guy. Must be something with the name "Ryan."

I'm going to show you what a MICHIGAN MAN CAN DO, just you wait!

I don't think I'd have the guts to NOT take him first overall. I'm just saying I have a hunch Maye ends up being the most effective QB from this draft.

"Life is all about chances," she begins, "and the Commanders are all about taking chances. That's how we ended up with Sammy Baugh the last time we were relevant. That's how we ended up with a Super Bowl championship team where our kicker was the League MVP.

"And of course you take a chance when you become a Commanders cheerleader, hoping that you don't end up being sold to an Arab prince and shipped to Qatar in a packing crate.

"With this philosophy in mind, we examined our options, and looked at the successful teams in the league that are located within 50 miles of us, because we need to save travel costs due to all of the lawsuits. As a result, we focused on the most successful team within 50 miles, the Baltimore Ravens, and how their mobile quarterback is the key to winning in the regular season.

"Is his style a dud in the postseason? Of course. But here at the Commanders, we're taking things one step at a time and winning in the regular season is a big first step. As a result...

"The Washington Commanders select Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU."

Out of habit, she then begins to remove her clothes before Goodell ushers her off the stage.

The cheerleader informs the patriots that they're on the clock, all the while maintaining a 25-foot distance from Robert Kraft.

With the 3rd overall pick, the New England Patriots select: J.J McCarthy, QB, Michigan.

Drake Maye is the popular selection here, but McCarthy's game simply translates to the NFL better. A smart, gutsy player from Michigan, the Patriots see the parallels with Tom Brady and just can't help themselves.

Fixed!

First curveball of the draft.

Phones are ringing, but GMs aren't aware that there's no trades in this mock!

The Arizona Cardinals select Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

No-brainer here.

Rain Man 03-11-2024 03:04 PM

Washington phones Arizona and asks if their receiverator is running.

duncan_idaho 03-11-2024 03:12 PM

New Chargers GM Joe Horitz strides onto the stage, wearing a pristine pinstriped suit. He looks around briefly before grabbing each pant leg with a hand. Suddenly, with a yank, rhetorical pinstriped suit pants rip away to reveal… a pristine pair of pleated khakis.

“Wooooooo! Hi, everyone. I’m glad to be with you. Let’s get it started and super-charge this process like Justin Herbert on 4th and forever …”

He pauses and presses a hand to his ear.

“I’m sorry, I meant to say let’s get it started and super-charge this process like a group of offensive linemen thundering down the field on a power trap run!

The Los Angeles Chargers select Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame!!!”

Chugga chugga Choo Choo. Better get old the track cuz the train is a coming.”

Make sure you guys bold the actual selection. It makes it easier to locate the picks.

New York Giants select QB Drake Maye, from North Carolina.

After letting Saquan walk we've officially decided to begin a rebuild.

Be sure to bold your selection in the post so it's easier to find.

Also, use this format:

PLAYER, POSITION, SCHOOL

Quick Update: NYG have traded our 2024 2nd and 2025 5th round picks for DE Brian Burns.

Thank you

staylor26 03-11-2024 05:24 PM

If Maye fell into the Giants lap after that Burns trade, you'd have to imagine they'd be absolutely thrilled.

Rain Man 03-11-2024 05:41 PM

So I'm curious. Would you (anybody reading this) have taken Daniels or Maye if you were the Commanders?

Some of the stuff I was reading acted like Maye was the obvious choice, but I was more intrigued by Daniels. Now it seems like Daniels is gaining momentum as the pick, so I felt okay going with him.

I would have taken Maye, but I'm not 100% sold on either guy, so I don't see a problem with Daniels over him.

Titty Meat 03-11-2024 05:57 PM

The Tennessee Titans are probably the most boring in the NFL aside from the music city miracle I don't think there's been anything remotely interesting about that team. I don't think they've ever had an offense that wasn't like the 90's Chiefs.

Today that changes and whatever broke dick QB plays they are about to have a nice piece to target.

The Tennessee Titans Select: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

Titty Meat 03-11-2024 06:00 PM

The falcons need pass rushers but none of the guys available really tickle my fancy here.

I’d like to add a cb but again, same thing

I’m just gonna take the best player on my board

Falcons select Rome Odunze wr Washington

Best fit for Maye IMO. Daboll did wonders for a raw high ceiling QB with size, mobility and a strong arm in Buffalo

Jokes aside, I've always felt that Toaster Strudels were superior to Pop Tarts.

****OFFICIAL 2024 Saccopoo CP Mock Draft Thread****

Debated between him and Nabors. I'll be honest I think we're going to find out a lot of these Washington guys were Deboers system but we shall see

They just kicking Braxton Jones to the curb? Cuz I'll take him, gladly.

GloucesterChief 03-11-2024 09:23 PM

Gotta be Bowers for the Bears right? Kmet is fine but not elite.

RealSNR 03-11-2024 09:24 PM

Well this sucks.

**** it. And **** you all.

Chicago selects Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

kccrow 03-11-2024 09:52 PM

The New York Football Jets select Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State

Because Aaron needs to keep his Achilles intact this season.

ntexascardfan 03-11-2024 10:34 PM

I think ideally I would've traded up for a QB, expected McCarthy to be available at 11, or traded out of this pick since I think I could get this guy a bit later.

I also went back and forth on drafting this guy or a CB.

However, the Vikings spent day one of free agency fortifying their pass rush to replace the production of Danielle Hunter, so I'll continue that trend by beefing up the interior presence of their defensive line.

Byron Murphy, DT, Texas

Chargem 03-12-2024 01:31 AM

Definitely wanted QB 4 to drop to here for the Broncos...

The Broncos select Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

Chargem 03-12-2024 01:35 AM

DM sent, any chance we could get clickable DM links in the OP like prior years when someone has time? I am lazy

JPH83 03-12-2024 02:41 AM

Was hoping to get a QB but obviously that's now fixed with Gardner Minshew...lol, they're f***ed. So instead switching to fixing the right side of their OL with a guy who should plug RG if he doesn't work at RT.

Raiders pick Taliese Fuaga, RT/RG, Oregon

GloucesterChief 03-12-2024 11:29 AM

Did the Saints get drunk on their way to the podium?

BossChief has yet to log in today unfortunately.

If you're waiting for your pick, go ahead and send me your top two. That way I can keep this thing rolling after he shows up.

ntexascardfan 03-12-2024 11:55 AM

The Lions just signed another CB. Makes me feel better about going Murphy over Mitchell.

BossChief 03-12-2024 12:05 PM

Sorry for the delay. Had a busy morning and just got on.

The Saints select Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama

No worrries!

GloucesterChief 03-12-2024 12:19 PM

The Indianapolis Colts select Jared Verse, Edge, FSU

Biggest need for Indy is edge rusher. Colts are quite happy to grab Verse in the middle of the 1st round.

staylor26 03-12-2024 06:05 PM

Ok if Mecca doesn't get his pick in before midnight we got to keep this thing rolling.

duncan_idaho 03-12-2024 06:24 PM

Side note:

Duncan Idaho will be continuing his stubborn one-man crusade against the term “edge.”

Thought about you when I first put it in the OP LMAO

staylor26 03-13-2024 06:26 AM

It's already been 12+ hours, but since it's his first pick, I'm going to give Mecca a couple more hours before I make his pick and mine.

Have to keep this thing rolling.

RealSNR 03-13-2024 08:14 AM

You're a nicer man than I am, staylor.

Sorry, but unless there are emergency events that take over one's life, this thing ain't too difficult to plan for.

staylor26 03-13-2024 09:25 AM

Ok, time is up.

The Seattle Seahawks select Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

The Jacksonville Jaguars select Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

staylor26 03-13-2024 09:27 AM

Tried to stick to the board/need for Mecca.

Latu has risks for sure, but he's just so polished and such a safe bet to be a good pass rusher as long as he stays healthy.

Mecca 03-13-2024 09:31 AM

Oh damn sorry I missed the pick, won't happen again.

Nice pick for the Jags Staylor, was atop my board for the Steelers.
