Gene Hackman, Wife and dog found dead
Breaking
|
RIP
always enjoyed his movies. It said police suspect no foul play, I wonder if it's something like carbon monoxide if they all died together. Sad |
RIP
|
Wow, a comma in the OP would have helped me as I thought it was just his wife and dog.
So sad, he was one of the greats. Rest in Peace. 95 is a hell of ride though and he did it well |
Must have been that outlaw William Munny from Missouri.
|
RIP She crawled under there for warmth.

RIP. He retired from acted a long time ago. But he was one of the greats. So many great roles in 70s, 80s and 90s films.

So many great roles. The French Connection, Hoosiers, Mississippi Burning, Unforgiven, Crimson Tide. Just to name a few…… |
RIP

"Authorities say no immediate signs of
foul play were detected" Maybe not "foul play" but something isn't right. Hackman, his wife and dog all found dead during a wellfare check isnt normal. RIP |

Hoosiers is one of my all time favorites. He’s been great in a lot of movies. RIP

After doing some reading, the rumor is that they bought some avocados from Amazon. |

Dang this is sad news.
Best Lex Luther ever. |
Who wrote this thread title? Tyreek Hill?

The Quick and the Dead was one of my favorites that he did.

A list Villain. Quick and the Dead.

He put a beat down on that Limey English Bob. |
My favorite Hackman scene. I love the way he instantly goes from jovial to menacing.

Damn, yesterday it was just the wife and dog. Now I see he bit the dust also. RIP, Lex Luther

Oh and thank you Dartgod for the comma. :thumb: |
When I first read about it this morning, my first thought was that I didn't realize he was still alive. What a full life. RIP.

RIP to a fantastic actor. No one could give an evil and friendly smile in his roles like Hackman.
Mississippi burning is one of my all time favorites, along with unforgiven, quick and the dead, and of course, Hoosiers. |
Damn it. He had the tough guy act down pat. Maybe it wasn't an act. RIP

One of the greatest movie resumes in Hollywood history.
Just an awesome actor. RIP to a legend and life well lived. |
Hackman should get more consideration in that "Greatest American Actor" conversation than he does.
He was a genuine force. And for a guy who was...uh...unconventionally handsome - that's pretty remarkable. That guy didn't have leading man looks by any means, he was just that damn good. I always thought it was a damn travesty that the last line on his CV is "Welcome to Mooseport..." I always hoped he'd make one last movie just to go out on a higher note but he made it clear for decades that he was just done. Really hard to believe that it's been 20 years since his last movie. |
RIP to a great actor.
I had no idea he was that old....man time |
Changed the life course of one Jimmy Chitwood. Without his influence, Jimmy transfers to Terhune and Hickory never makes the finals let alone upsets an athletically superior South Bend Central. Think about it!

I had no idea that the years had done that sort of number on him, though. He's completely unrecognizeable in photos you can find over the last couple of years. |
One of the greatest actors I've seen. RIP Gene and thanks for your incredible work!!!

I can’t wrap my head around him being 95.
Dude is an all time great. |
I need to make sure my carbon dioxide detector is working.

Unfortunately, Clint Eastwood probably isn't that far behind.
|
Really exceptional in so many things - one of my favorites was "Enemy of the State" A great role.

I just keep thinking of that scene from Coming to America. Damn shame what they did to that dog.

RIP. One of the greatest actors of all time. Too many favorite roles to even think about listing them all. Will be sorely missed. May have to have a Hackman mini-marathon this weekend.

sounds like gene died of natural causes and the wife was so distraught she killed herself with pills and the dog accidentally ingested what was scattered around
