Holmes out for houston game... Blaylock to start

Johnson to back up...

Vermeil on 810

Chiefs Pantalones 09-20-2004 03:29 PM

I say BS.

dirk digler 09-20-2004 03:31 PM

Why the fug did they draft Johnson for if they aren't going to play the guy? At least give him a chance. Vermeil's lost it.

tonyetony 09-20-2004 03:31 PM

we'll see about that.Priest at 80% is still top 10 in the league.

Saulbadguy 09-20-2004 03:32 PM

No.

fucking.

Way.

FloridaChief 09-20-2004 03:32 PM

I didn't hear "out". I heard "questionable to doubtful".

Mr. Laz 09-20-2004 03:33 PM

well .. .i guess I'm wrong...

priest is not OUT.... he's listed as "doubtful"

i must of misunderstood ... sorry, my bad

mistake was unintentional

tonyetony 09-20-2004 03:34 PM

Priest will end up questionable to probable. The Need will override the risk. Look at Mortons achilles.

Jackass! Trying to throw the board into a panic.

Sure-Oz 09-20-2004 03:36 PM

I'd rather see our #1 draft pick in there if priest can't go.

Bob Dole would rather see him earn the spot than have it handed to him because we drafted him too high.

I dunno...Blaylock has always looked better to me. Would be a nice chance to see what Larry is made of, though.

Sure-Oz 09-20-2004 03:47 PM

Blaylock is fast but i cant see him being a 20+ carry back, more like a 3rd down pass receiever with the occasional carry here or there. We invested a #1 on LJ we gotta give him a shot to see waht he can do.

MOhillbilly 09-20-2004 03:49 PM

Write it down now. i predict Holmes wont start another game till late Oct.
Cause like i said earlier KC is known to try and cover as much up as possible when it comes to priest.

If there's no Priest on Sunday I would imagine that we'll see both Blaylock and Johnson. Injuries have devastated our offense.

I guess it's just pay back for all our good fortune last year. God I hate Robinson.......

tonyetony 09-20-2004 03:55 PM

Vermeil is trying to keep the press off priest by misleading them because he knows that priest is the team right now.

Yes. I'd like to know that our first 03 draft pick was not completely worthless. If Priest if questionable to doubtful for Sunday, I'd rather just rest him up for Baltimore. If we can't win without him against the Texans at home then this season is truly FUBAR.

Circle gets the square.

R&GHomer 09-20-2004 03:58 PM

If priest can't go, I would expect both to share the load. I just don't see blaylock getting all the carries.

Is this true ... it's not being reported anywhere. Did he just make the announcement?

Yep, and I bet there are more to come. The offense is getting old and is starting to beak down. We've been very lucky the past couple of years and it has fianlly caught up with us. I'm thinking the Chiefs are gonna do a nose-dive Raider style like last year. Oh well, life goes on.

'Zactly. If the Chiefs can't beat the Exans at Arrowhead without Holmes, I'd say that is a pretty good indicator of our playoff chances for this year.

jspchief 09-20-2004 05:15 PM

Who cares? It's not the players, it's the scheme.

Sure-Oz 09-20-2004 05:24 PM

I think we have next year as well to make a run, but after that who knows.

Demonpenz 09-20-2004 05:25 PM

do i start blaylock and johnson now in fantasy?

Blaylock will get the yardage but there is a good chance that LJ will get the goal-ling carries IMO. Take your pick...for my money I would go with Blaylock.

One can only hope they get close enough to the goal line to have to be faced with that decision.
