Stand Up Comedy Thread

There's a thread about Netflix comedy specials. What about the rest of the great comedians in the world that aren't on Netflix? Here's my contribution. This guy kills it.

What other comedians have you seen that are worthy of sharing?

Tom Segura is my favorite. Going to see him in a month or two.

Bill Burr.
John Mulaney.
Chris Rock.
Louey CK.

Local KC guy (Lenexa). Been at it since he was like 15 or something crazy young like that. I seriously think I heard he had to have his mom take him to open mic nights . Opener for blue collar comedy back in the day.
Really good dude, live about a block from me. His on stage persona is definitely different than real life. Just takes some of his real life traits and amplifies them. He’s very very well read. Some of his writings / stories on Facebook are a riot. I wish I could find them . He’s fascinated by language like Carlin.

Ron White

I have a hard time with standup female comedians. I find 99% of them shit. Ellen DeGeneres is my favorite and then Sarah Silverman.

Too many female comics think being "edgy" is cursing without anything funny. Doesn't work for me.

Kathleen Madigan cracks me up big time.
And if I’m in the mood for extremely dry comedy, I like Tig Notaro.
Old school Judy Gold was good

But yeah, alot of female comedy these days seem to rely on shock factor way too much. Schumer is god awful.

We saw Brian Regan at the Uptown last night. Funny guy, funny show.

I'm a comedy guy. Mark Normand is a guy I'm a big fan of. If you haven't heard any of his stuff, give it a shot.

Super annoying voice. Good content though if he could ever improve on that.

I don't know how good he is for a full set, but Joe Koy's clips from Netflix are a hoot.

I DARE you to watch this and not laugh once. Not one chuckle. . .
