Denard Robinson
Dude is too much of a playmaker to not make a club. Question is where do you play him? I wonder if Toub could mold him into a punt returner?
He'll go earlier than he should. I'd hate it if he were picked up prior to 5-7.
He will get a chance at WR this week. Think he is definitely a play maker and interested in seeing his attitude and how hard he works to learn the position. Obvious wildcat QB, but can see him returning kicks also.
No more midgets!
I liked him better when everyone called him Pat White.

I'd take him in the 4th-6th in a heartbeat.
I think you draft him as a WR/PR/KR.
If Pat White can go in the second round then if somebody really falls in love with Denard he could go that high. I think he'll probably be a third round pick.
He's working out at the SR bowl as a returner and wr.
He's an interesting prospect. He can literally line up anywhere on offense.
He has the potential of Randall Cobb, just less polished @ WR coming out of school.
I'd use him as a Bryan Westbrook type rather than Randall Cobb. Hope for 100ish carries and 50ish catches a year plus KR/PR duty. There's a lot of value in that.

I could see Denard being a terrific PR/KR. I just don't see him being anything else but that, unless you want another Devin Hester type experiment at WR where you force-fit a phenomenal athlete into a WR role he does not look natural in. |

I'd love to see an offense with Charles and Robinson on the field at once. There's not a defense in the league that would be able to defend that speed.

Robinson is under no illusion that he's a QB unlike Pat White.
I'm not sure what he is, he's a WR or a RB, he may be better suited at RB honestly if you look at his height and weight listing he's right there with guys like Charles and Johnson the speed backs. |
How about using him in a read-option package too?
He also has huge hands, his hands are bigger than any of the WR's down there.
Could you imagine the stress that a Robinson/Charles read option would create? Especially since he could pull it back and throw it if the defense stacks the box?

He's a VERY intriguing prospect. |
He's sure as hell faster/better than McCluster

Most of the reports that I've seen says Robinson is struggling mightily at both catching the ball and fielding punts. Definitely a big project.

I like Robinson but then again, I am kind of tired of tweener projects. I think I would pass and take a solid player at another position.
It sounds like he's had a rough going at Senior Bowl practices this week. He's trying to make the switch to WR and never has any idea where to line up, to the point where people have had to place him in his spot. He's got a lot of work to do on his route tree too. Some have said he may be a last day pick. I would say that he is well worth it on day 3 of the draft.
Hopefully that will knock him down a round still has everything you cant teach.

Lance Zierlein was just on 810 and Petro asked him what player hurt himself the most in Mobile.
His answer? Denard Robinson. Aparently, scouts were making jokes about his receiving "skills" - something about slapping together a ham sammich... |
I had hopes that Robinson could be another Joshua Cribbs (college QB that becomes a standout returner and reasonable receiver) but he is apparently awful at fielding kicks and really struggles catching the ball. Major, major project.
