LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - A 65-year-old Lee's Summit man is charged with shooting a man after an insult-filled afternoon of watching the Chiefs football game.

Ronald L. Hall is charged in Jackson County Court with assault and armed criminal action.

Court documents state Hall, his son and several other men gathered at a Lee's Summit house on Sunday to watch the football game.

Hall's son told police everyone at the gathering had been drinking and trading insults as they watched the game.

He also told police his father was ill-tempered and mean and his disposition had gotten worse in the last year, according to court documents.

Hall often became angry during the banter and that was the case Sunday.

His son told police his father threatened to shoot people in the past, but had never done so, court documents state.

Hall's son and the victim were outside the house when a loud noise rang out.

The victim fell to the ground with a shotgun wound to his face.

Hall refused to come out of the house when police arrived. Officers evacuated houses in the neighborhood and were able to remove a two-month-old baby in the house with him.

Police arrested Hall, who later told nurses he had shot someone, court records state.

The victim suffered critical injuries, including a stroke.

Pioli's fault.

We reported on this some while the standoff was on-going. The man's son took the shotgun from his father but there was a 2-month old infant inside the house. LSPD sent a robot inside and located the infant safely. Then they made entry and removed the child. Then later the same robot went in and located the old man. It was a pretty interesting story but the victim is going to be in bad shape for a long time, permanently.

They should've just had the robot kill the gunman. And then taught the robot about humanity, mortality, justice, and the whole slew of human intellect. And then they should've thought the robot to replicate itself and create a robot morality police force. Only then will the streets of Lee's Summit be safe. Only then.

Right now there's a whole mess of crazy people in Florida who think we're all a bunch of idiots.

Indeed. Lee's Summit has an amazing firetruck as well with all the anti-terrorism tools. It was given to us from a Homeland Security grant 3 or 4 years ago. It is unbelievable.

Way to go Pioli. You've killed 2 people now.
