Ravens sign Mike Anderson

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2366084

Anderson, 32, will sign a four-year, $8 million contract that includes a $2 million signing bonus. The deal will be completed later this week. It's likely the Ravens will also try to bolster their tailback depth chart through the draft.

Wow!

more than i figured he would get ... but he's a solid runner.

Wow?

Whoopdeedoo. It's Mike Anderson. He'll probably only play one year anyways. That contract doesn't mean shit.

Mile High Mania 03-12-2006 10:01 PM

I wish Anderson the best ... he's a good guy. Yeah, right now it's Bell and uhhhh... Ron Dayne. Although, Jamal Lewis is coming to town to talk with the team. And, you know they'll draft a RB.

why would Denver spend any money on a running back when they can just draft one in the 5th round and turn him into a 1500 yard back?

He's good insurance and can go 15 or so carries a game while they groom the rookie they'll likely draft.

I wish him the best of luck. He's always played hard and did his best to fill whatever role the team asked him to fill. Starting RB for Denver? Round up the usual suspects.

I think he's just there to get a good look at Jamal Lewis and get scared straight.
