If we actually needed a left tackle and had a QB, I wouldnt be opposed to trading back and taking Joekel...the kid has the tools.

We have a really good LT in Albert and we just drafted another one in the third round.

If we let Albert walk and draft Joekel, Im gonna start looking for bombs that are for sale.

Spoiler alert: Nobody trades up, the Chiefs get spooked out by the QB, and they take a 5-tech.

Get this shit out of here.

We don't ****ing need the draft picks. What we need is a ****ing QB.

I don't disagree with you at all.

Thats kinda my point, though.

Lets say they hire Arians, Reid or another QB guru and they surmise that they like Matt Barkley, Geno Smith and Tyler Wilson equally...moving down to 4 and adding picks wouldnt be all that bad if they see a big flaw in Genos game that we dont and they think it will hurt him at the next level.

Again, I want to make it clear that I WOULD TSKE GENO AT 1st OVERALL NO MATTER WHAT...but I think its worth discussing.

What if you trade to 4, Geno, Barkley and Wilson go 123?

There is no trading down. You ahve the first overall pick, you are the worst team in football.

Is he a once in a generation LT prospect?

Precisely. He's not Orlando Pace or even Joe Thomas. If Geno isn't worth the #1 overall pick, Joeckel sure as shit ain't.

At 1 overall? A LT from a spread system? No way.

I'm just having conversation. But the only reason you should be feeling on edge is if you're nervous about possibly keeping Pioli. If it has anything to do with this game itself you have other issues.

No it's the Pioli shit. The game was actually fun.

Luck sat his freshman year. He had a modest 2nd season with 13 TDs and ended up hurt before the end of the year.

O.city 12-30-2012 06:13 PM

This is something all these asshole draft guys who spout " there is no Andrew Luck or RGIII in this draft" bullshit don't think about.

If there isn't a once in a generational QB, is there a LT, pass rusher, WR, RB, etc that is? Or one that is worth the first pick?

The upside of a QB is so so so much ****ing higher than that of a WR or LT, that it's a no brain decision.

So do we have to swap rounds with Jax still?

Yep, I believe so.

O.city 12-30-2012 06:26 PM

We had 36 yards passing today. 36

We have a chance to lock up our franchise LT and WR for years. Tell me again what we need to draft?

Shit, I don't care if you let both of them walk, you still take a QB and build around HIM, not the other way around.

Strongside 12-30-2012 06:27 PM

I don't see Landry Jones in the poll gais. Must be a mistake. Mel Kiper said he was a top prospect last year and then he stayed in.

I'd trade our ****ing 2nd round 3rd round and fourth round and next years 2nd round to move up to the Jags spot right behind us for the second pick of the draft to take who the **** currs AS LONG AS WE TAKE A QB WITH OUR FIRST PICK.
