Oh crap, here we go again, this happens every time I bring up Minneapolis. Maybe I missed all the good stuff both times I was there, but there was just nothing about the place that 'wowed' me.

Overland Park is higher than Lee's Summit?

Fail.

What could a city of 4 million have that Omaha doesn't? :)

Professional sports teams and about 3.5 million too many people.

Suburban sprawl. Strip malls. Chain restaurants. Yehaw.

Best post of the thread.

I live in #12 and enjoy it here. Great schools, housing has stayed stable, low crime, great weather (they say low temp in Jan is 14 - but rarely does it get that cold and even less rare if it ever stays that cold.

Don't understand this post at all. I live here and very rarely go to a strip mall. Lots of parks and trails for hiking. 40 minutes from several ski areas. Great schools (2 kids with the oldest 12).

The thing that sucks the most is that it is highly republican.:D

In what way? Is this being used in the same manner that some claim that house X doesn't have "character"?

I have lived here for almost 7 years. We average about 250 sunny days a year. Durring the summer we do get afternoon showers, but it isn't a rain all day type of suck.
