Hillman hasn't picked up on all of Manning's nuances yet. The speed of the game is hard enough for rookie, let alone playing for Manning who expects you to have two plays memorized and make sight adjustments on the fly. And that's to say nothing about the need to pass protect, which Ball is better at than Hillman.

Early word is the Broncos are going to go with what they have and give Holliday and Moreno more touches.

This is no way influenced by the fact I just pick him up off of waivers, but he's basically the same size as Charles. He could be a 15 touch/game guy.

The good thing is that the schedule is pretty light going forward and Denver has a nice divisional lead. Hillman has time to get experience prior to the playoffs - I doubt there's really anyone of worth to pick up at this point. Moreno is sitting back there, but he sucks - hopefully he stays where he is, but I'm sure he'll see some action.

I just heard the Chiefs and Broncos are trying to get a deal worked out before the weekend that will send Peyton Hillis to the Broncos in exchange for a Peyton Manning and a 2nd round draft choice.

Ha... I'd definitely welcome back Hillis in this offense.

You've clearly missed out on some recent Chiefs games.

There are many Bronco fans who are in complete denial over how Hillis plays.

I don't like the way he left Denver, plain and simple. I am a Razorback fan, so I was a fan of his prior to Denver... the dude isn't an every down RB, but he has a role in the right offense.

Bummer. This might be the end for Willis in the long run. Especially if the Broncos earn the opportunity to play for a Championship this year.

Keeping the bench warm?

A bit off topic, but who was that tiny RB you guys had around 04-05? You guys go through them so frequently its hard to remember them all.

You're really not losing much, I mean he's only had 2 runs for more than 20 yards and is only averaging 4.4 ypc. He's kind of like a running back version of Matt Cassel.

And I really wouldn't get my hopes up about that Championship thingy. Very few one man teams get there.

Willis had nice production in this offense and he had 26 receptions, most in critical times of a drive. Veteran leadership and knowing where to be will be missed.

The AFC is pretty wide open with the top 6 teams at this point - they've all got their own warts, but nothing is out of the question at this point.

You can't judge football by looking at a stat sheet. You have to watch the games and in games Willis is the best we have relative to blocking, running, and vision.

You're wrong about that !

The Chiefs are definitely out of the question.

And you're wrong about that also. I can look at the stat sheets without even watching the game and tell you Matt Cassel sux.
