Network management software

I know that we have a few system/network admins on this board so feel free to chime in.

I'm looking at SolarWind and a few other solutions to map out some networks (around 50 total) that were setup without technicians mapping the network(s) out. I've been reading up on SolarWind, SpiceWork 5.0 and a few others but am curious if you guys have any experience with these? Any cons?
Active monitoring (network, CPU, memory performance) is an absolute must.

I'm really only needing the software setup on 1 MAYBE 2 systems -- so no multi license is needed.

Solar winds is okay. But, most places are going using SCOM to moniter apps/networks/connectivity.

SCOM is good. I like it. I think it gets overlooked though.

I've used SCOM, SolarWinds, Nagios and a few others.

Windows Servers I take it? I would say SCOM all the way.
