Animal Planet: Mermaids

This airs May 27th at 9 pm EST. They are really making this out to be a legitimate documentary as if something conclusive has been found. It seems to be a mixture of some scientific stories, sightings, and cinematic entertainment. I really wouldn't expect a half movie/half documentary such as this from Animal Planet, escpecially since it seems that it is being advertised as an actual documentary with actual evidence. I don't know what to make of it but I think it looks interesting if at least for the entertainment it might provide.

Anything for ratings.

Dear God make it stop!!!!

Bigfoot, chupcabras, other cryptoids are nothing new for the Discovery family of channels. If it weren't for the BBC they wouldn't have any documentaries worth watching.

LOLWUT?

That's laughably pathetic....

Does anyone remember when the Discovery channel did this with Dragons?
They made a documentary on dragons as if they were once real..and like they could prove it.
I remember a young kid coming into work the next morning and asking me if I saw that insane doc on the dragons last night and I was like..yeah but you know..He cut me right off saying how he always thought dragons were myths etc so forth.
To discoverys credit they said at no time during the show would they admit to it being a lets pretend this is a real doc...and apparently some didnt hear that before hand and bought it all.

"Discovery Channel made a documentary style movie called Dragon's World: A Fantasy Made Real. This movie actually caused confusion in some people who thought this was a real documentary presented by Discovery with actual facts. However, this docudrama was made for entertainment purposes only. The scientists were played by actors. It was advertised as an "alternate history"

Just saying its been done before and will be done again I'm sure

I always wanted to rape the Little Mermaid when I was a small boy. If Jerry Sandusky could have successfully disguised himself as Ariel when I was a boy, he might have gotten away with molesting me.
