Do you VIVE?

Getting the VIVE for my son for Christmas. I know the basics; have "played" it a few times.

What accessories do you have/wish you had with your VIVE?
What do you play on it/do with it?

For starters I'm going with a couple of tripods to mount the base stations, silicone skins for the controllers, and maybe the aftermarket audio strap.

What is your experience with VIVEor other VR?

This is what he needs. What's your address, we'll do a gofundme and make this happen.

That would be more fitting for the Oculus Rift. But thanks Cooch.

None of you do VR? That's seems unlikely.

we got my kid a VR helmet that slots a smartphone and download vr apps, hes 5 and enjoyed it for a night but after that meh.

We put it on and its very meh also. I believe until VR reaches near star trek levels it will be an expensive niche. Thanks for beta testing!

Yep it's definitely early in the game but it's past Beta test stage. This is the second year it's been out. We looked at it last year and decided we needed to build new pc's capable of running it.

With Steam as it's partner the content is large enough now that it's worthwhile to have and more content moves into it every day. The golf alone is worth it.

I have a friend who is building practical applications with it. He also has the MS Hololens in his lab. That thing is also very cool though a different type of application. Windows Mixed Reality will have a unique market share in business.

Not really any compelling software for VR right now, so naw.

Just got the Oculus Rift a couple weeks ago as a birthday/early Christmas present from my wife. It's incredible. My favorite game so far is Arktika1. The people who made Metro made it. It's a FPS with a creepy vibe to it. It looks great, feels great and the gun battles are amazing. And definitely get SuperHot VR. It's a blast. And the Porn.....:D

The Oculus touch is only $350. It's a completely different experience than using a phone and headset. The controllers are amazing. They're like virtual hands. Room scale VR with interactive controllers is mind blowing.

Don't judge VR based on mobile VR like the Daydream or GearVR. They are NOTHING like what the experience the Vive and Oculus give you. The level of interaction is mind blowing. It's like the difference of watching a movie, or being in the movie.
