Chiefs | Hicks receiving second opinion on shoulder

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Herman Edwards said DL Eric Hicks (shoulder) did not practice Tuesday, Aug. 29, due to a sore shoulder. He is going to receive a second opinion on it to see where he is physically, but Edwards noted they believe he is going to be fine. Edwards termed the injury a "deep bruise" and is hopeful he will be ready for Week 1.

I remember that magical double-digit sack season of 1999 as if it were only 7 ****ing seasons ago. Please know our thoughts are with you in these trying times. Here's to a speedy recovery so we can cut you without paying any injury settlement.

He's been dragging that arm since the first preseason game. He doesn't look like he has any legs under him, and that was confirmed here by someone who talked to gun.

If there were a better option(like a Carlos Hall that could stay healthy) I think he'd be gone.
