Here's an excerpt from a recent article about him:

Bentley participated only in individual drills Tuesday morning and was not on the field in the afternoon. But he looked good to teammates he barely knows.
"He’s in great shape," Fraley said. "Before his injuries, he was a great player. I think he still has that mentality, and you’re going to see something special out of him because he’s going to keep working hard until he gets there.
"I wish I had his athletic ability. He’s very strong. Some of the things he does I can’t ever do."

Let him start at Center and move Niswanger to Guard? Or maybe Bently can play Guard im not really sure. I just know I would rather have him on our line than Jones, yeah hes missed 2 years but he should be well rested :p and hes only 28 which isn't bad for an Olinemen.

i know he's not in quite the same situation that turley was, but....

Things sure can change fast...i remember when this guy was being talked about as a top flight center (not that long ago).

And....NO

what does all that mess mean?

SBK 06-11-2008 01:17 PM

Once was considered the best at his position.....If he can pass a physical why not?

RustShack 06-11-2008 01:20 PM

He did pass his physical.

Even though he's maxed out his potential, he's going to make great strides and persevere. He's improved as much as he possibly can, but he has a lot of work to do to keep on improving.

StcChief 06-11-2008 01:30 PM

and the problem with looking at him is what?

B_Ambuehl 06-11-2008 01:31 PM

For what we can get him for it's well worth it. Before his injury he was considered heads and shoulders above every other center in the NFL. He's only 28 and could very well still be close to that level. Even at 50% of his best he's still better then every center on our roster. Our center spot is the weakest in the NFL. There's no reason not to take a look.

I thought it meant, "Oh, wooops! Did I say that first part out loud? I better backtrack so people think I'm fine."
