Free Agency

Kenrick Ellis DL NYJ-Everything is changing in NY and Bob Sutton brings a familiar guy to KC.
Rob Housler TE ARI-I loved this guys potential when we played him. Decent blocker, dangerous weapon catching the ball.
Bryan Bulaga RT GB-This is a guy Dorsey will target and think of very highly IMO. GB won't be able to keep him with who they need to sign and the job the guy did vs Seattle was fantastic. He looked well above average.
Jerron Johnson SS SEA-No way Seattle keeps him. This guy is from the same system and will be a valuable low-cost insurance policy.

5 Round Draft

1. Devin Smith WR OSU-This kid is exactly what we need. He's got terrific speed. He can make tough catches. He led CFB in yards per catch. He's a bit raw on the underneath routes, but that's fine bc I don't think he'll have any trouble learning. Very high potential pick here.
2. Denzel Perryman ILB Miami-Physical player who loves contact and can read QB's. Very solid speed that can do well in coverage. This would be a fantastic pick lining up next to DJ.
3. Laken Tomlinson G Duke-Massive G at 323 lbs that has done incredibly well this week. The Chiefs almost picked G Chris Watt from ND last year. This guy will push Jeff Allen and might flat out take his job in training camp.
3. (comp)-Rob Havenstein OT Wisconsin-I LOVE this kid. And he looks badass this week. You know Dorsey is watching this kid closely as he's dominating everyone. Massive guy at 6'7" 332 lbs. Strength is no issue with this guy.
Trust be told, I don't know if this guy will even be here at this point with his good showing this week, but I feel really comfortable with him at RT.
4. Antwan Goodley WR Baylor-Speed, strength and solid blocking. This guy is going to fall this far because he's built like a RB. I don't see it and I think that he would be a fantastic fit here. He reminds me of Greg Jennings.
5.Josh Shaw CB USC-Andy Reid and John Dorsey forgive players. We've seen it with Kelce and Commings. I think they can't ignore the guys talent and get a steal here. Perfect fit for him to be the #4 CB and learn the game.
5.Chucky Hunter DE TCU-Very strong vs the run and showed very nice quickness at the Shrine Game. Depth is definitely needed at DE and this kid will be vital to our run defense. Future replacement for DeVito.
5. Wes Saxton TE South Alabama-Nice insurance policy at TE. Really liking his potential, but needs to get stronger. We run the 3 TE set a lot, but had been limited by health. Need to have depth here.

And I'm spent.

If Andy Reid views Smith as a DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin love child, then he's absolutely going to be considered early. He wasn't productive enough and didn't show the consistent hands I'd expect out of a 1st round pick though.

Laken Tomlinson has played his entire career at RG, food for thought.

Love Havenstein as well, I put him in the same spot. I'm thinking he could climb if he's having a good week at the SB.

This is the most realistic mock I've seen.

Really like what you did with our FA and cuts, I would imagine that this is very close to the Chiefs actual plan. FA acquisitions are also very realistic, substance not flash. Although I don't personally recognize many of the names in your draft, you filled our needs well.

Kudos!

Not a huge fan of Smith or Havenstein.

I think Devin Smith is a healthy reach at 18, but I do like him, and it's an overall good outcome. Few minor things/prospects I would change... but it's good.

Think Shaw will fall that far? and I get the feeling Tomlinson may end up gone before the 3rd rd.

Smiths an interesting choice in the first. Very raw, and low production for a guy that early, but he does have elite speed, great hands, and he's great at tracking the ball, i wouldn't mind it.

Not a big fan of perryman, but the rest of the world is, so if hes there in the second i'd be happy to have him.

Shaws a great late round pickup for us, can play all corner positions, as well as safety.

Smith, Goodley, and Wilson, man thats a lot of speed.
