I'm 99% sure we want to go to either the Bahamas or Costa Rica. I have $2500 saved up so far but can spend $3500.

Know of any good honeymoon packages to Bahama's or Costa Rica for about that price?

Want all inclusive for 6 or 7 nights hopefully.

My advice.

Make sure alcohol included in the price. Read the fine print.

Take her somewhere cheap and tell her the incentive plan for your life together is a trip of increasing value with each 5 years of service.

That way, you're off cheap if she splits in 2 years.

Hell we're going on a weekend Carnival family & friends cruise for $400/person (flight included from MCI).

$3500 better get you in the Paradise Island presidential suite or something.

Spend the $2500 and send me the extra $1000 so that I can get a better honeymoon for my wife.

Make sure that it is not that time of month.

I think I'm going to ask brideowanian to sign a union card, that way, she'll get the additional benefits with seniority in our relationship.

When's the honeymoon date? That will definitely affect the price. If you go this summer, the Caribbean will be cheaper because it is low season. It is much more expensive in the winter months.

I would seriously consider Playa del Carmen, Mexico. You could definitely get a deal there since the swine flu is winding down.

Also, check air fare rates and hotel rates on www.kayak.com

Compare the prices there with Expedia...it may be cheaper. I would call hotels or resorts directly and see if they can beat expedia's prices. Often..they can.
