Warehouse 13

A cross between the shows Eureka and Sanctuary.

meh, but i'll give it a few episodes.

KcMizzou 07-10-2009 08:09 PM

Never watched Sanctuary, but I really like Eureka. I'll check it out.

(FYI for anyone interested, pretty sure the premier is on Hulu.)

BigMeatballDave 07-10-2009 09:11 PM

Its on my DVR now. I've yet to watch it.

I FF though about half of it. Kind of sucks.

I dvr'd it but haven't watched. I'll give it some time. With the very notable exceptions of Farscape and BSG (and Eureka), sci-fi's original series usually start fairly poorly but improve over time.

By the way, speaking of Eureka, it's on Friday's now, and premeired last night. I meant to put a thread up but forgot.

I thought it was horrible.

In my lifetime, there have been a few tv relationships that really make a show worth watching.

Sam and Diane, David and Maddy, Ross and Rachel, Scully and Mulder, Booth and Brennan, to name a few. I hate it when shows try to force chemistry between two actors.

The two actors in Warehouse 13 have less than zero chemistry. And the writing seemed like it wanted to be X-Files Light so badly, but was more like.........I don't even know what it was like, but it was bad.

Having said that, I will probably watch a few more episodes.

Same here, unfortunately the comments here are making me not look forward to it.

Agreed, but i'm gonna try to watch it for awhile and hope. The two lead characters(agents) are a problem. They just aren't very interesting.

unlurking 07-11-2009 05:59 PM

Just watched. Very flat. Will check it out a few more times, hoping it picks up. At least Caprica and SG:U will be starting soon. Was fun getting back into Eureka.

JD10367 07-11-2009 07:06 PM

It's on my DVR as well. It'll keep me occupied until the "Torchwood" five-night miniseries airs in a couple of weeks...

BBCA needs to go HiDef or HDNet needs to shorten the lag time between first run and their run. Love Torchwood, but I'll wait for HD.

mikeyis4dcats. 07-12-2009 04:04 PM

I kind of liked it. It was kind of flat as most pilots are. If this picks up it could be fun...

keg in kc 07-16-2009 06:07 PM

Finally got around to watching the premeire and second eps, it's not bad so far.

I am a smelly pirate liar, put the episodes on the DVR watch list this afternoon. Eve's tooth gap whistles their Siren's song.

keg in kc 07-16-2009 06:21 PM

I put it in my DVR today too. The first episode at least. This year of Dr. Who and Torchwood miniseries sucks.

Mr. Krab 07-17-2009 08:44 PM

The 2nd episode was much better.

Miles 07-17-2009 09:41 PM

Watched the first two episodes this evening. Seems like it could have some potential but is fairly flat so far. I like the steampunk gadgets and Saul Rubinek is usually a very solid character actor.

The lead actress kind of has a different but attractive thing going on which reminds me of Claire Forlani.

I agree. Rubinek's good, and the lead chick isn't what you'd call "textbook Hollywood pretty" but she's attractive in the same way as the lead chick in "Castle". She sort of looks like the love child of the "Castle" actress and Julia Roberts. Seems to be the new thing in Hollywood: leading-ladies with a bit of square-jaw who aren't typical Barbie-doll (e.g. Robin Tunney in "The Mentalist", Emily Deschanel in "Bones").

Braincase 08-11-2009 08:24 PM

I would totally plow Joanne Kelly, 9.7 on a "I wanna plow that" scale. Of course, Kaley Cuoco of "The Big Bang Theory" is a 9.9.

keg in kc 04-14-2014 02:52 PM

Final run of episodes starts tonight, if anyone's still watching.

Frosty 04-14-2014 03:26 PM

Yep, the DVR is all set up and ready. It's been a pretty good throughout its run.

JD10367 04-14-2014 06:02 PM

I've enjoyed the show. And I want to do bad things to Joanne Kelly. And even worse things to Alison Scagliotti.

Joanne is great and all, but if I'm going for that tall lanky brunette type, Stana Katic all the way

Claudia is pretty much the only character worth watching this show for.

EDIT: Ok just watched tonight's episode.. holy balls this show has gotten really bad since the first couple seasons. Way too over the top and even the actors don't even give a shit (that first scene with Claudia.. lol)

kcxiv 04-15-2014 12:28 AM

Loved the show. It was always over the top, way over the top, but i enjoyed it, wish it would have had a proper ending! Eureka was badass too, another show that didnt realy get an ending!

kcxiv 04-15-2014 12:30 AM

wait wait wait. I thought this show was over? last year i watched it all on netflix and thought it was done! lol

Time to find the episodes so i can watch. What a pleasant ****ing surprise. Im happy lol

haha, holy smokes, there is season 4. lol i got alot of catching up to do! I just figured that it was over and done with because netflix had it. lol

JD10367 04-15-2014 11:26 AM

The chick who plays H.G. Wells is also in my short list.

JD10367 04-15-2014 11:29 AM

Jaime Murray. 37 years old. Linking pics with a phone sucks so just look her up.

keg in kc 04-15-2014 01:34 PM

She's actually one of the main characters on Defiance, and often in skimpy clothing. The body paint kind of hides who she is a bit, but it's her.

There was talk for a time about a warehouse spinoff featuring HG but nothing ever came of it.

Ragged Robin 04-15-2014 07:35 PM

She was also in Spartacus. Her fake nose weirds me out.

keg in kc 05-19-2014 11:04 PM

Good finale. I sort of lost interest last season, but after the last couple of weeks I'm gonna miss it.
