ESPN'S BIG MONDAY
No. 3/2 Kansas (18-1, 6-0 Big 12) takes the nation's longest winning streak of 17 games into ESPN's Big Monday battle at West Virginia (9-10, 2-4) Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. (Central). The Jayhawks are coming off a 67-54 win against Oklahoma Saturday (1/26), while West Virginia is looking to bounce back from an 80-66 loss at Oklahoma State (1/26). So that story about Huggybear getting an incentive to beat KU in the regular season. That was pretty much false, right?

Mr. Plow 01-28-2013 01:32 PM

I'll just put this right here for you WVU fans headed to the game tonight.

God damn Bill Self is so good.

We need to clone him.

CoMo won't mind drinking Selfs semen. Maybe we can use him as a lab rat.

no doubt

WVU doesn't shoot very well, either. Couple that with KU's defense and it shouldn't be much of a contest.

That being said, KSU struggled to win at WV and you know it's gonna be their big game of the year.

Oh yeah. They'll be pumped. I expect a tough game.

KU's offense was unimpressive against Oklahoma, so I'd love to see them come out with some fire here. They kept OU in the 8 point range pretty much all game. Lets get an old fashioned whooping in tonight.

We're due for a blow out win that's for sure. Self needs to keep stressing that we're not going anywhere if we keep playing shitty offense.

I just bet small amounts on games I like to watch through the week. $5-10 for a game I may watch like tonight. $20 on bigger games. I ain't trying to make a ton of cash....I work for a living! I just like having a little incentive to have a rooting interest in a game I will be watching anyway.

I ain't Hootie!

Click on the thread later, see all the whining, assume they are losing, look at the score and the Beaks are up 30 :p

Bring it with you when you come watch a Royals game in KC.

I will put it towards a Smirnoff for you. But, you'll have to pay the other $2.69.

ReynardMuldrake 01-28-2013 06:17 PM

Not a fan of the new uniforms. If they want an an alternate, why not just play with the red ones? Don't mess with a good thing IMO.

SAUTO 01-28-2013 06:20 PM

Geno was just about perfect in this game.

When is the replay on?

Agree. I hate the not being able to read the names on the back. Maybe Baylors were just ugly and these will be better, but I like the red ones.

If I had to choose I'd like us to wear our throwbacks for a handful of games.

WVU students showed up early to watch KU warmup.

Bringing it back.

YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!

An entire game thread for this one? That's different.

Chiefs Pantalones 01-28-2013 07:39 PM

7 minutes left in the Pitt/Louisville game with Louisville up by 7. Pitt is gonna start fouling after the TV timeout.

I'm going to laugh if Louisville loses again.

Someone said we should be doing separate game threads since the repository is so big. I already did a couple. Last 2 games I didn't because i was busy.

Buehler445 01-28-2013 08:00 PM

Louisville is really a bad team. Pitt is playing like balls and threatening to take them down in Louisville. And why the **** are they ranked 12 after losing 3 straight to not all that good of teams?

DJay23 01-28-2013 08:06 PM

"You're not in Kansas anymore" huh? Gee, that's original.

I think I'm in the minority. I actually like the jerseys. Compared to the horseshit all gray with generic lettering Nike makes their teams wear as specials. Maybe it's just me.

1ChiefsDan 01-28-2013 08:15 PM

Did Huggins drop an F bomb on his players going into that commercial?

Bearcat 01-28-2013 08:15 PM

Weathered the storm after those two free throws.

O.city 01-28-2013 08:15 PM

I like them.

And it's great to see McLemore being aggressive.

the Talking Can 01-28-2013 08:15 PM

cue huggins "suck my dick you loser piece of shit asshole mother ****er....go team!"

Fritz88 01-28-2013 08:15 PM

No shit. Makes me cringe when I see that.

Mr. Laz 01-28-2013 08:17 PM

If Withey learns to "drive" the ball within the paint he is going to really be difficult to handle on offense as well as defense.

Almost worse than at kstate.

DJay23 01-28-2013 08:19 PM

McLemore with 2 fouls already.

KC_Connection 01-28-2013 08:19 PM

McLemore with 2 BS fouls already.

I'm just beside myself with the improvement he has made through his career. He looked like a newborn baby deer on ice is first few years when he got playing time.

Bambi 01-28-2013 08:21 PM

It looks like we're wearing pajamas.

RealSNR 01-28-2013 08:21 PM

Clitula trying to draw the charge.

LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO

DJay23 01-28-2013 08:23 PM

Fort Worth? I though Andrew was from Virginia.

We look like a high school team playing a bunch of really scrappy 7th graders. Just dribbling circles, rebounding everything, getting foul calls on almost every possession.

I enjoyed watching Kevin Young play point for awhile. Nobody got in his grill that entire possession. Weird to watch.

Huggins has problems

Bearcat 01-28-2013 08:24 PM

I'm not only surprised that Deniz Kılıçlı has been playing basketball for more than 2 weeks, he was apparently once compared to Kevin Love (granted, he does have both of WVU's points... ).

O.city 01-28-2013 08:25 PM

White was supposed to be a great shooter?

KC_Connection 01-28-2013 08:25 PM

Wow, brutal shooting from White.
