Holy smokes. I'm from either Boston, Worcester or Providence. Well done.
The big tip is rotary. Don't think that word is used much outside Eastern Mass. |
It says I'm most like Montana/Wyoming, or far norther California. I'm midwest all the way. Kansas city area.

The results from my survey said I was from Kansas or Nebraska and highlighted Wichita, Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska. Kansas appeared to be more likely. And I am from Wichita. Interesting.

The most average, plain or normal dialect is supposedly just north of the KC area, like around St. Joseph, MO. Much east or north of there, speech takes on more of a Chicago/Wisconsin "honk" influence. Much south of there, speech takes on more of a southern Missouri/Kansas, Oklahoma "twang."

Shockingly, it pegged me as being most like Santa Rosa, Stockton and Fresno. For the last 12 years, I have lived in between and an easy drive to all three towns. I would have thought that my dialect was that of a Midwesterner, having grown up in KC and then living in Chicago for a total of 36 years.
