The Kansas City Chiefs for the first couple weeks of training camp were strangely healthy. While teams like the Falcons listed 8, 9, 10 and more players on the injury report, the Chiefs went to Atlanta with just three.

Since the Atlanta game, it's caught up with them with several offensive linemen (and a quarterback) sitting out practice. The injuries apparently aren't serious because a few of them returned on Tuesday, according to Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com.

Ryan Lilja returned. He missed Monday afternoon's practice. More than likely, this was just a veteran's day off. Lilja didn't have any noticeable injury.

Barry Richardson also returned which is big news for the offensive line. At this point, it looks like he's going to be the swing tackle so if any of the tackles are hurt, even for a few plays, Richardson would be the guy to hop in.

Tony Moeaki was also back in the fold. He had missed well over a week of practice after suffering an injury in the Chiefs scrimmage a week-and-a-half ago. His injury was just a minor one. It'll be good for the Chiefs to get him back and ready for Saturday's game against the Bucs.

Jake O'Connell also returned to practice. He missed Friday's night because of an unspecified injury.

they should make him practice in a giant bubble...and then ask for their draft picks back...and kick his giant bubble down a hill and laugh at him as he says, 'come on guys, this isn't funny!'....

and then go find a true fan to kick in the balls...like maybe Cassel

I fear that the phrase "Croyle to Moeaki" will never be uttered.

So, they haven't said shit about Croyle yet? Another "undisclosed injury"? Is he in the training center riding a bike at least?

If he produces 3x what last years TE's were and plays half the time the Chiefs still come out ahead. And I think thats very possible.

So we're happy if a third-round pick plays 50% of the time? That's an acceptable level of success?

Seriously?

tmax63 08-17-2010 06:42 PM

No it would not be acceptable but if it happens it would still be better than what happened before. I expect him to play at least 12 games. I don't see him as on the same level of fragility as Croyle.

Didn't Croyle put on like 30-40 lbs. in the offseason?

It already has.

"The bottle of Bactine is passed from Croyle to Moeaki."
