If you want some great villains, read the Annihilation series. You have Annihulus, Thanos and Galactus in many of the issues.

I read it to get a bit more backstory on the Guardians of the Galaxy, but it also has great stuff on characters like Nova, Super Skrull, Silver Surfer and quite a few others.

Agreed. I especially enjoyed the Drax series. Not sure they'll make him as witty in the movie as he was in that book, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. That series also includes some general background info on each of the players at the back of each issue. It makes it relativity easy to get into that run without having Wikipedia open all the time.

I guess that means they're definitely going for the comedic route with Ant-Man.

Probably for the best. I think Marvel just wants to bring in mostly point and shoot/yes men types, not real creative/auteur types. Whedon is a great writer, but I wouldn't consider him some visual genius. He's basically point and shoot.

Jared Leto rumored to be their target for casting Dr. Strange.

I think I like the choice if he'd do it?

He might be able to pull it off. When he was younger he really irritated me for some reason but the last few years he's done a really good job...

Some friends of mine and I were talking Benedict Cumberbatch.
