The SEC has won seven straight titles since then, and none of them have signed more talented kids than Texas. The SEC has the best coaches. That's why they win. The players have followed the coaches, and those players have wound up in the NFL. As a top recruit, you'd be nuts not to play there given the opportunity.

If one kid signed autographs and took money, that has nothing to do with competitive balance.
