Pants, Depending on what you want to do when you want to do it is important for Sentinel.

Leveling: Watchmen / Juyo is probably your best choice since it gives you your burns that heal you and is pretty powerful. It may not burst down enemies but you are wanting to survive and get to the next group of enemies quicker so as to level quicker. Plus the Zen gives your heals to all players in your party so it can heal your companion.

This is currently my watchman build up to level 38

I have heard that you can switch to Combat / Ataru form at level 35 - 40 since by then you get the more powerful abilities in the tree.

The problem with Combat is the Ataru form doesn't hit till level 21 and then you have to spend a ton of points in the other related abilities to get it to shine for you.

I have heard people using the Focus tree more for PVP since it gives some healing and better ability to move and survive a bit.

For Guardian folk I have heard people that want to "tank" going more Hybrid with points in the defense and vigilance tree. Seems as though there are some skills in vigilance that help in the defense side of things and survivability. I made this real quick but notice I went hybrid for tanking purposes.

But you say Guardian Slash is the pimp skill in the tree. Well yes and no. If you look at it, the Overhead slash is the poor mans Guardian slash but can do more damage with the 6 seconds that are removed from the "Vigilance" skill in the Tier 4 Vigilance tree.

Plus it gives you the "Protector" skill in Tier 5 of the Vigilance tree. Basically you guardian leap to a "friend / companion" that is in trouble and this skill reduces the damage they take by 20%, but it also now reduces the damage you take by 20% due to this "Protector" skill. Then you jump back on target with Force Leap and you get "Unremitting" Tier 3 vigilance tree that reduces the damage you take by another 20%. I have read that these are additive not multiplied like in WoW.

Just my 10 cents on the Jedi Knight trees.

I'm not worried so much about how fast or slow the leveling is, because I'm honestly in no rush. I'm enjoying the game at a rather slow pace. I want burst damage for PvP and max DPS for raiding. Both of those things only come into play at level 50. I'll have to look into Focus a bit more, I kind of discounted it because it's shared and just assumed it probably wasn't going to be very good.

Probably good they're having maintenance. I can shower and shave and go grocery shopping, maybe take a walk or catch up on the entire week's worth of TV stored on my DVR.

And I can study all the in-game stuff that I have been ignoring and not really understanding as I do quest after quest. Still have no idea what I'm supposed to do when fighting with my marauder, so usually just let Vette gun everything down and tank while I run around and mash a few buttons.

mind boggling!!! at 12:01 I log in to Space Slug and we are full and in a queue of 150 people. Meanwhile other servers are showing as light.

So far, I have been impressed with SWTOR.
What I really like so far is the character progression and how you feel like you really are "shaping" your character. Very Bioware like and well done. The graphics have grown on me and the sound effects and music are very nice.

I am curious to see how much content they are planning to be released. I hope they have a lot planned for it. GOod for the game and gamers.

Have a level 8 Sith Inquisitor and Level 7 Bounty Hunter. I want to give all the classes a spin here. Just so much fun right now. :)

You're only level 8 and 7 and you want more content already? Jeesh...

Too addictive.

This game kicks ass. It sucks I don't have much time to play it right now, and when I do I have to wait 30 minutes to queue up.

Yeah, I haven't been able to play since Sunday night due to holiday plans and other obligations. But hopefully I'll get back on tonight.

Same here, I could only get on for a couple hours after like 10:30 the last couple of nights. The game is incredibly good.

I led my 1st raid last night. :D We just got a bunch of randoms in Coruscant (Old Market) and downed the big ass droid (SD-0). We had 24 people and it was hilarious, took us forever since it has like 194k HP. Dropped 2 purples (caster lightsaber and heavy JD pants) and some credits. We tried to go into Coruscant Instance 1 and down it again but got wiped that time due to personnel changes. Of course that meant I didn't get anything done in the game yet and am still on Coruscant without having progressed at all.

I downloaded deluxe edition, I am suppose to get a speeder. What lvl does that come orshould I have already gotten it?

Valiant 12-21-2011 10:50 AM

Also for the wow players, does this game seem slow? Even with autoloot and hitting buttons it takes a second to do anything.
